  • Patent number: 6555322
Abstract: The invention provides a connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) receptor and biochemical and/or biological equivalents, homologs, derivatives, subunits, fragments, and complexes thereof. The CTGF receptor is useful in the treatment and diagnosis of CTGF-associated disorders and in methods of screening for agents that effect CTGF receptor expression and activity. The invention further provides nucleic acid sequences encoding the CTGF receptor, recombinant DNA molecules comprising these sequences, and transformed hosts carrying the recombinant DNA molecules, antisense sequences and antibodies directed against CTGF receptor, and pharmaceutical compositions for use in treatment of CTGF-associated disorders.

  • Patent number: 5327231
Abstract: A method of simultaneously recording a signal indicative of dynamic digital data, and signals comprising the analog voice and video picture data of a television signal is disclosed. The dynamic digital data is encoded into a signal at audio frequencies between a lower threshold frequency and an upper threshold frequency. The analog audio signal is filtered to remove frequencies between the lower threshold frequency and the upper threshold frequency. The encoded digital data signal and the filtered analog audio signal are combined into a single analog audio signal. The combined audio signal and the video signal are video recorded into a television signal.

  • Patent number: 5216500
Abstract: Method of making an examination of a specimen by use of a microscope comprises during a first session, conducting a microscopic examination of a specimen by manipulation of the specimen stage while video recording the examination and during a subsequent session, replaying the recording to produce a video image, and manipulating the stage with reference to the video image so that the image observed by use of the microscope is substantially the same as the video image.
