  • Publication number: 20040190064
Abstract: A system for printing a book through use of booklet ganging is disclosed. The system includes a computer connected to a printer. A document is accessible on the computer and is compatible with an application running on the computer. The system includes a software component that is configured to obtain a style configuration after a print command has been executed by the application. The style configuration includes an indication of whether the document is to be ganged. The style configuration is not obtained by the application. The software component gangs booklets based on the style configuration if the indication indicates that the document is to be ganged. The book is then printed through use of the booklet ganging.

  • Publication number: 20040133434
Abstract: An automated customer service system and method which maintains and uses a customer sensitivity profile to contact the customer in a manner, at a time and date, and at a location which are preferred by the customer. The automated customer service system also maintains and uses an agent qualification profile, in conjunction with the customer sensitivity profile, to automatically assign agents to the various campaigns. An agent qualification profile identifies any special skills or qualifications that an agent may possess, such as language skills, type of voice, efficiency, and type of call processing skills. The system administrator devises a strategy script based upon the customer sensitivity requirements and the agent qualifications. The strategy script determines which agents meet which requirements, and whether there are adequate agents to handle the requirements of concurrent campaigns.

  • Publication number: 20030184773
Abstract: A method for context-based processing of print data is provided. The method includes partitioning a document to be printed into a plurality of regions of interest. The method also includes determining context data for a first region of interest of the plurality of regions of interest. The context data may include information about how first print data corresponding to the first region of interest should be processed. The method also includes using the context data to process the first print data.

  • Publication number: 20030116938
Abstract: A vehicle tailgate step, wherein the step is pivotally mounted to the rear of a truck/vehicle, proximal the tailgate, and provides accessibility to the truck bed from the side of the truck when the tailgate is in the closed position, or from directly behind the truck, regardless of the tailgate position. Additionally, the device can be selectively manufactured to provide access to the contents of a truck bed from the side of the truck bed when the tailgate is in either a raised or lowered position.

  • Publication number: 20020145624
Abstract: A method for consolidating the information from multiple information sources so as to provide a uniform set of screens for an agent. All of the information sources are automatically linked in a coherent manner, which is defined by the user. The provision of an information item into a field automatically accesses user-specified information items from the various information sources. The user may combine and present the information from the various information sources in a uniform manner so that a given item of information always appears at the same location on the screen, and in the form desired, regardless of the original display format that is used by the information source. The station (10) receives (501) the initial information item and then sends (503) this information item to the sources specified by the information field, receives additional information items from these sources, and displays or presents the information items received in any desired media type.

  • Publication number: 20020113989
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention comprise methods and systems which enable a user to distribute print tasks to a plurality of printing devices without the use of additional hardware for this purpose. These systems and methods are typically used in conjunction with a computer network comprising at least one computing device and a plurality of printing devices. Printing tasks which are typically sent to a single printing device may be distributed to multiple printing devices to increase printing speed, volume and/or capacity. This distribution capability can be achieved without the use of additional hardware and firmware and without modification to software applications.

  • Publication number: 20020075507
Abstract: A method for including a barcode as part of a print job. A user is presented an option to encode and print at least one property of the document as a barcode. Data representative of a document to be printed is rendered. Rendering and encoding may take place in serial or in parallel, with either one of the steps occurring prior to the other. The document to be printed is printed. If the user selects to print the barcodes, the barcodes are then printed.

  • Patent number: 6314089
Abstract: An object is dynamically created which contains all of the information relating to connections established during a transaction. This object also contains information and/or pointers to information which was used in a communication during the transaction. The object further contains tests for triggering events. When a triggering event occurs the connections are automatically re-established so that a further communication relating to a transaction may be accomplished with excellent efficiency and without any duplication of effort by an agent (including an electronic agent or device) to locate information which was located during the previous communication. The test is administered by a business process mediator, which invokes a business task mediator, which may invoke multiple lesser task mediators, each of which may invoke additional lesser task mediators.

  • Patent number: 5963635
Abstract: The automated customer service system maintains and uses a list of available resources, such as an agent qualification profile, in conjunction with a customer sensitivity profile, to automatically assign available resources, such as agents, to the various campaigns. The agent qualification profile identifies any special skills or qualifications that an agent may possess, such as language skills, type of voice, efficiency, and type of call processing skills. The customer sensitivity profile contains information regarding the manner, time and date, and location for contact which are preferred by the customer. The system administrator devises a strategy script based upon the customer sensitivity requirements and the agent qualifications. The strategy script determines which resources, such as agents, meet which requirements, and whether there are adequate resources to handle the requirements of concurrent campaigns.

  • Patent number: 5675637
Abstract: A method for automatically obtaining, consolidating and displaying the information from a plurality of information sources. An agent workstation receives the initial information item and then sends this information item to the sources specified, receives additional information items from these sources, and displays or presents the information items received. If the initial information item is not adequate to obtain all of the information items desired then the information items received from one source are also used to obtain other information items from other sources so that all of the desired information items are obtained.

  • Patent number: 5594791
Abstract: An automated customer service system which maintains and uses a customer sensitivity profile to contact the customer in a manner, at a time and date, and at a location which are preferred by the customer. This maximizes the likelihood that the customer will be favorably responsive to the contact, whether the contact be to make a sale, to discuss collection of a balance due, or just to obtain current information about the customer. The automated customer service system also maintains and uses a list of available resources, such as an agent qualification profile, in conjunction with the customer sensitivity profile, to automatically assign available resources, such as agents, to the various campaigns. The agent qualification profile identifies any special skills or qualifications that an agent may possess, such as language skills, type of voice, efficiency, and type of call processing skills.

  • Patent number: 3993584
Abstract: A coherent, weak agglomerated dustless solid particulate mass is formed from a mixture of discrete particles in the size range from less than about 1 micron to about 2,000 microns, and fibrillatable polytetrafluoroethylene (hereinafter referred to as PTFE) in an amount from about 0.02, but less than 1 percent and preferably less than 0.75 percent by weight based on total solids, by working the mixture in a dry or relatively dry state with a working action in an unconfined zone at a temperature in excess of 20.degree. C., but below the sintering temperature of PTFE or a temperature deleterious to said particles, whichever is lower, without changing the primary particle size range of the material.

  • Patent number: 3974089
Abstract: A method is disclosed for preventing segregation of particles within a finely divided powder having disparate particle size ranges, compositions or densities. The method includes working the powder with a minute amount, preferably less than about 1% by weight of the powder, of a finely divided fibrillatable polytetrafluoroethylene resin (hereinafter referred to as PTFE) to form a mixture with the powder. The PTFE resin may be added to the powder as a colloidal aqueous dispersion or as a fine powder obtained by coagulation of the colloidal dispersion. Whichever form is used, the PTFE is intimately mixed with the finely divided powder to form a dry mixture. Alternatively, the PTFE resin may be blended with the powder in a wet treatment to facilitate the homogenous dispersion of the resin. In any event, the mixture of resin and powder is worked either in the wet state, preferably as a paste, or as a dry blend, using a masticating or kneading action to fibrillate the PTFE.
