Abstract: A vehicle tailgate step, wherein the step is pivotally mounted to the rear of a truck/vehicle, proximal the tailgate, and provides accessibility to the truck bed from the side of the truck when the tailgate is in the closed position, or from directly behind the truck, regardless of the tailgate position. Additionally, the device can be selectively manufactured to provide access to the contents of a truck bed from the side of the truck bed when the tailgate is in either a raised or lowered position.
