  • Patent number: 6907601
Abstract: A method is described comprising inserting an allocation instruction within a routine if a function call instruction is found within the routine. Another method is described comprising inserting multiple allocation instructions within a routine by searching for one or more functional characteristics within the routine and inserting an allocation instruction within the routine if a functional characteristic is discovered. Another method is described comprising performing a first allocation for a first amount of register space at the entry block of a routine and then performing a second allocation for a second amount of register space for the live information within the routine at the time of the second allocation. Then, performing a function call to a second routine and performing a third allocation for a third amount of register space at the entry block of the second routine, the third amount of register space and the first amount register space having a common register.

  • Patent number: 5871353
Abstract: The invention provides for the incorporation of dentifrice preparations, which are commonly accessed from a container on a tray during teeth cleaning, internally within the housing of a disposable prophy angle. Auger, baffle or piston members are used to move the preparations from the housing through passages in the head of the prophy angle to a moving prophy cup. If a reusable autoclavable prophy angle is being used, the invention provides for an annular chamber containing the dentifrice preparation that interfits as a sleeve over the prophy angle body. In such case, the prophy angle head is enlarged and includes an inlet connection with the annular chamber. Passageways in the head direct the dentifrice preparation to the prophy cup and a piston ring is used to move the dentifrice preparation from the chamber through the passageways. Alternatively, an external pressurized supply of the dentifrice preparation may be connected to a conduit which is attached to the body in place of the annular chamber.

  • Patent number: 5251244
Abstract: A nuclear fuel pellet loading system includes pellet handling apparatus and cladding tube handling apparatus functionally interfaced by a bushing assembly. Pellet rows of varying zone lengths are alternately built up on two tracks, measured for zone length, weighed and then loaded by separate pusher carriages through separate bushing assembly passageways into a pair of empty cladding tubes indexed into loading positions by the tube handling apparatus. Separate zone interface tapes affixed to the pusher carriages indicate to an operator the length each pellet zone is to be built to. The tube handling apparatus accommodates cladding tubes of varying lengths and is equipped to automatically read a serial number imprinted on each tube endplug.

  • Patent number: 4758158
Abstract: The hydrocolloid injection system which utilizes a dispensing syringe as the vial within which the hydrocolloid impression material is shipped and stored prior to usage. The syringe includes a transparent barrel within which the hydrocolloid material is located. A plunger is slidingly mounted within the barrel which is to function to cause the hydrocolloid material to flow from the barrel through an outlet opening. The plunger forms an airtight and watertight seal with respect to the barrel with also a cap being located about the outlet opening of the barrel also forming an airtight and watertight seal. The barrel, plunger and cap can all be located within boiling water with no fear of the water itself actually coming into contact with the hydrocolloid impression material. During usage, the cap will be removed and a nozzle assembly mounted in conjunction with the barrel to facilitate depositing of the hydrocolloid impression material at its desired location.

  • Patent number: 4079993
Abstract: A portable back rest, composed of one planar sheet of material adapted particularly, but not exclusively, for use on stadium, or the like, bleacher or plank seats which are not provided with backs. The back rest is of unitary one piece construction and comprises a sheet of material in generally planar configuration which may be stamped or molded into the proper flat configuration for ease of transport and storage. The material from which the back rest is stamped or molded, is flexible so that it may be flexed from its flat transport and storage condition to its operative condition for combination with a bleacher seat. The one piece planar sheet of material from which the back rest is made, has an inherent "memory," or self adjusting characteristic, which urges it at all times to assume its flat transport and storage condition. The back rest is provided with means integral therewith for releasably clamping or locking the back rest in operative position on a bleacher seat.

  • Patent number: 4068889
Abstract: A portable back rest adapted to be detachably mounted onto stadium bleacher seats and the like. The back rest is formed of a single piece of flexible material and comprises a back panel, a pair of side panels hingeably connected thereto, and front and rear locking elements adapted to securely grip the bleacher seat. In its transport configuration, the side panels fold inwardly into close proximity with the back panel, thereby forming a compact readily portable unit.
