  • Patent number: 11416939
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, device, and system for communicating an impact of a financial decision or an investment strategy to a user through the use of virtual reality are provided. Providing a context for figuratively ‘seeing and feeling’ the results for a proposed financial strategy may assist the user in better understanding the impact of the financial strategy. Information provided in this context may educate the user with regards to the amount of income or savings required to achieve a goal over a time period. A goal for a user may be displayed as an image in a virtual reality scene based on gathered user information. The image representing the goal may be displayed according to a percent of clarity based on the financial amount needed to achieve the goal. The image may be changed based on the amount over a perceived virtual reality time period.

  • Publication number: 20220084120
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for use in generating retirement income from selling a non-monetary digital asset affiliated with a user are provided. Information about a user may be gathered by a processor in a computing device. A non-monetary digital asset associated with the user may be determined based on the user information. A market price for the non-monetary digital asset may be determined from a plurality of data sources. A buyer for the non-monetary digital asset may be identified. The non-monetary digital asset may then be sold to the buyer at the market value price. The proceeds from selling the non-monetary digital asset may be placed into a retirement account associated with the user. The non-monetary digital asset may be automatically sold at the market value price prior to an expiration date.

  • Patent number: 6148884
Abstract: A method of producing a hardwood flooring product, including the steps of processing a strip of raw wood into a blank having a predetermined thickness and width, and top and bottom surfaces defining parallel planes relative to each other, and splitting the blank along the width of the blank from one side to the other to form two low profile flooring strips having the same width as the blank and a thickness less than one-half the thickness of the blank. The splitting step includes the steps of providing first and second circular saw blades mounted on spaced-apart vertical axes for rotation in a single plane intermediate and parallel to the planes of the top and bottom surfaces of the blank and positioning the blank on conveying means upstream from the saw blades with the plane of rotation of the saw blades intermediate and parallel to the planes of the top and bottom surfaces of the blank for movement of the blank from an upstream position to a downstream position relative to the saw blades.

  • Patent number: 4356048
Abstract: A cap visor defined by upper and lower layers of material having an insert board therebetween in a sealed relationship. A flow mold technique patterns one of the layers of material, as, for example, to simulate stitching. In that the insert board is sealed within the layers of material, any damage, as that from water passing through conventional stitching, is prevented.
