  • Patent number: 9057205
Abstract: A modular platform assembly for a wind turbine tower includes a core platform sub-assembly having an underlying structural support grid. A plurality of platform extension panels are disposed circumferentially around at least a portion of a perimeter of the core platform sub-assembly. Support extensions are configured on the support grid at a plurality of circumferential positions around the core platform sub-assembly, with the platform extension panels supported by the support extension. The support extensions are mountable to a wall within a wind turbine tower and are variably positional on the support grid so at to vary the effective diameter of the support grid.

  • Publication number: 20130174509
Abstract: A modular platform assembly for a wind turbine tower includes a plurality of individual, multi-sided plate members, with each plate member connected to at least one other plate member along a common side. At least certain of the plate members have an outboard side that defines a circumferential section of the platform assembly. The connected common sides of the plate members define a structural support grid that connects to a wall within a wind turbine tower at a plurality of circumferential positions for supporting the platform assembly relative to the tower.

  • Patent number: 6406020
Abstract: A method of playing a card game particularly adapted for casino wagering. The game uses one or more standard fifty-two card decks and involves a banker, a dealer and one or more players. The player has the option of wagering against a banker's high hand, low hand or both by placing an ANTE bet or bets. The dealer deals two cards to each player placing an ANTE bet and three cards to the banker. After viewing the dealt hand, a player has the option of surrendering his ANTE bet or bets or placing a PLAY bet or bets. Winning hands are determined by the numerical value of the cards held by the player as compared to the numerical value of the cards held by the banker. Bonus payoffs are paid to the player if the player's hand qualifies as a certain predefined high or low hand. A Jackpot to be paid for a certain defined hand may be employed.

  • Patent number: 4037196
Abstract: An apparatus for indicating the position of a gearshift mechanism of a transmission which includes a plurality of forward-speed shift bars contained in and movable within a transmission housing; a number of microswitches are mounted in the housing for selective engagement by the shift bars. The microswitches feed a coding device which generates unique binary codes depending upon the microswitch or switches engaged by the shift bars when the latter are moved into position by a gearshift selector lever, for engaging one of a number of gears of the multiple gear transmission. The binary coded signals are decoded in a decoder/driver which in turn is connected to a digital display device for numerically displaying the selected gear.
