  • Patent number: 4106193
Abstract: A rotary scraper including a spool with fingers integral therewith and projecting radially therefrom, with the fingers striking the work surface as the wheel rotates, thereby to impact the work surface; the fingers are arranged in a plurality of comb-like structures with the base of each comb inserted in a slot parallel to the axis of the spool. Each comb is locked in place by a cylindrical cover for the spool having a slot displaced radially from the slot in the spool into which each comb is inserted. Each comb is therefore held in place by the S shaped bend thus induced and is curved away from the direction of rotation from the spool. The fingers of each comb are relatively flexible. The curved portion of each comb outside the cover acts as a support for the fingers of the next adjacent comb should they be flexed inwardly beyond the desired point.

  • Patent number: 4040568
Abstract: A dispenser is provided for vaporizable materials such as deodorants and insecticides. The dispenser is adapted to create accentuated air flow over the materials either in the presence of ambient air flow or when the dispenser is moved through the air, for example, by being mounted on the back of a door. It dispenses far smaller quantities in the absence of air movement. The dispenser includes one or more material containers open at one end and mounted within a vented housing. The vents on the housing are positioned over a portion of the open end of the contained material, and are recessed in a concave area of the housing. The housing is spaced from the material container and has exit ports along its periphery. The containers preferably have a dividing partition passing part way down the material container to provide paths for the air to flow down one side and up on the other for better contact with the vaporizable material.

  • Patent number: 4015717
Abstract: A tablet package for use in chronologically dispensing tablets includes a sheet of material having pockets therein for receiving tablets, a frangible closure layer secured to the sheet of material to enclose the tablets and a plurality of time related indicia disposed on the closure layer associated with each tablet and aligned with the pockets such that dispensing of a tablet ruptures the closure layer to obliterate the indicia associated with that tablet. The tablet package is particularly useful with a tablet dispenser formed of a housing including a body having a dispensing opening therein and a cover pivotally connected with the body and carrying an ejector tab aligned with the dispensing opening, the tablet package being disposed in the body.

  • Patent number: 3961446
Abstract: A low cost, readily assembled container suitable for germinating seeds and supporting plant growth under balanced growth conditions includes a plastic base containing an integral series of germinating/root control means and a series of channels including means for regulating water/gas transmission, and a separate soil containment means which can be assembled in some of the channels thereby defining a container for the soil. The invention also includes methods of germinating seeds and growing plants using the container of the invention.
