  • Patent number: 5482553
Abstract: A system for pin-point injection or application of a viscous, hot-melt conformal coating which is injected or applied onto a surface of an article and is readily removable from the surface to provide a temporary mask to selected areas of the article. The system includes a material supply unit which can accept the coating in at least one of granular, flake, chunk or block form and can heat the coating to transform the coating into a substantially viscous form for pumping out of the unit by a pump member. A heatable hose is also included having first and second opposite ends, the first end being connected for operable communication with the pump member and the hose including a heating element controlled by the supply unit and positioned along the length of the hose for maintaining a desired temperature within an interior of the hose.

  • Patent number: 4553350
Abstract: The apparatus includes an elongated hollow body with exposed portions of wick extending along the body and having inner portions extending into the body through openings of the body. Each end of an exposed portion is peripherally sealed with respect to the body opening through which it extends, and inner portions of the wick communicate with a chemical in the body. Exposed portions of the wick span the length of the body and the chemical is applied by moving the body horizontally across a field in a direction transverse to its length. The wick material can be braided nylon rope, and the body can be made of any selected length for multi-row application of the chemical.

  • Patent number: 4220110
Abstract: A self-contained unit for underwater propulsion, for use with scuba tanks. The unit comprises an hydraulic motor which uses a special air compressor oil as an hydraulic fluid and uses the breathing medium to circulate the oil uniformly mixed therewith the mixture being powered by the breathing air supply itself and later separated, the air being then filtered for use as breathing medium by the diver.
