  • Patent number: 7449517
Abstract: An extruded composite building material comprising a thermoplastic resin material, a mixture of additive materials, and a cellulosic material, wherein the thermoplastic resin material, the mixture of additive materials, and the cellulosic material are blended into a composite material, wherein the composite material comprises between 50% to 90% cellulosic material by weight, and wherein the blended composite material is extruded to form the extruded composite building material.

  • Patent number: 5156890
Abstract: A method for imparting flame resistance to fabric articles comprising natural or regenerated fibers is provided for. The method comprises: applying a detergent solution to fabric articles; rinsing the detergent solution from the fabric articles; applying an aqueous solution of one or more water-soluble flame retardant compounds to the damp fabric articles; removing excess amounts of the aqueous flame retardant solution from the fabric articles; recycling the excess amount of the aqueous retardant solution for use in treating other fabric articles; filtering the recycled aqueous flame retardant solution; and drying the fabric articles.

  • Patent number: 4719600
Abstract: An improved sense circuit for determining the data state of a memory cell in a multilevel storage system is disclosed. The sense circuit includes at least two differential voltage level sensing circuits. A first differential voltage level sensing circuit compares the relative magnitudes of a data input signal voltage level corresponding to a particular memory cell charge level and a first reference voltage level, thereby providing at least one first binary data output signal. The first binary data output signal is then used to generate a second reference voltage level having a magnitude different from that of the first reference voltage level. A second differential voltage sensing level circuit compares the relative magnitudes of an adjusted data input signal voltage level and a second reference voltage level, thereby providing at least one second binary data output signal. The adjusted data input signal corresponds to a function of the first data input signal.

  • Patent number: 4617188
Abstract: In abstract the present invention is a mixture of natural ingredients both mineral and vegetable whose combined effect is to kill insects such as cockroaches more effectively than can the components individually. When natural sugars are introduced through a medium such as carob which is not itself repulsive to the roaches, they increase the effectiveness of borax. The resulting compound can be used to eliminate roach populations in both domestic and commercial areas.

  • Patent number: 4514327
Abstract: This invention is a fire retardant compound and the method for preparing the same. The combined fire retardant properties of the final composition are greater than the fire retardant properties of the individual ingredients. When formulated and treated in accordance with the present invention, wood products such as paneling and flooring, fabric products such as cotton, wool and rayon and the like which are normally flammable are for all practical purposes noncombustible. Not only are the flame retardant properties of the present invention highly unusual but also the smoke inhibiting factor in each case is extremely low and way below that which would normally be anticipated.

  • Patent number: 4324834
Abstract: This invention is an improved insulation means and a method of forming the same. An expanded ceramic material such as expanded perlite, with a calculated R-rating of 2.7 per inch, and urethane foam, with a R-rating of 7 per inch under American Society for Testing Methods (ASTM), are combined to more than triple the expected R-rating of the sum of the two. The methods of forming the improved insulation can be used for either original equipment insulation such as water heaters or for board or foamed in type insulation for use in building structures and similar applications.
