  • Patent number: 11948375
Abstract: The contents of totes and the amount a tote container is filled are monitored. A central database stores product dimensions and tote dimensions as well as a percentage of which a tote is to be filled. Image scanners that obtain three-dimensional images are used to determine if the actual dimensions of the tote, the product, and the fill amount are consistent with the expected or optimal values of these characteristics. When there is a discrepancy between measured and expected values, then one or more actions can be taken.

  • Patent number: 5551836
Abstract: A high pressure blower assembly includes a spiral-type blower housing, impeller wheel and a baffle arrangement disposed proximate the inlet of the blower housing. The baffle arrangement includes a first baffle segment extending from the inlet into the inner periphery of the impeller wheel, a second baffle segment having a generally curved portion that terminates at an apex region located proximate the cut-off point of the blower housing, and a generally curved third baffle segment, disposed proximate the impeller wheel, that joins the second baffle segment.

  • Patent number: 5522301
Abstract: A two stage valve assembly responsive to signals from a control system for supplying pressurized fluid to two load lines. The first stage includes a motor that directs pressurized fluid from a jet pipe toward a receiver assembly having two receiver ports and a bleedoff area disposed between and separating the receiver ports. The second stage assembly includes two spool/sleeve assemblies that control the flow of pressurized fluid to and from the two load lines. A drain line from the receiver assembly includes a pressure relief valve, which insures that both spool/sleeve assemblies will be servo-controlled at all times. Cartridges may be inserted in the spool/sleeve assemblies to linearize the relationship between input current from the control system and the output force of an unequal area actuator connected to the load lines.

  • Patent number: 4710610
Abstract: A heater and limit switch assembly, particularly useful for installation in the conditioned air duct of a rooftop air conditioner. The loop of a rigid-loop heater, mounted on a vertical plate by two parallel legs, is modified to provide an inward offset portion leading to the second leg. Radiation, from the offset portion and its bend into the second leg, is received at close range by a simple disk-type limit switch, positioned on the plate outward of the second leg and facing the offset, inducing prompt response to any increase over design temperature.

  • Patent number: 4709623
Abstract: A low profile ceiling duct assembly to be used with rooftop air conditioners. The unit combines an octagonal sheet metal ceiling plate which provides the upper portion of a plenum chamber; this extending into the roof space above a ceiling opening. The lower plenum portion is provided by the molded plastic octagonal air distributor box, mounted against the edges of the plate and extending into the room space sufficiently to afford air flow sidewardly outward from the plenum. The air distributor box has outlet grilles at alternate sides of the octagon. They discharge air in four directions along the ceiling line while return air is drawn centrally upward.

  • Patent number: 4672818
Abstract: A three-member molded plastic housing for rooftop air conditioners, including base and intermediate members having molded portions which together provide component lower and upper compartment walls and blower scrolls. The third member, an outer shroud, abuts sealedly along a roof ridge of the intermediate member to prevent recirculation within the shroud of condenser blower outlet air. The base member has downwardly molded projections for facilitating positioning the unit over a roof opening and resisting sideward forces.

  • Patent number: 4667702
Abstract: A two-piece plastic duct utilizing snap-together latch tongue and complementary engaging provisions together with overlapping sealing flanges to make adequately airtight duct assemblies. The duct walls consist of narrow trimming flats with measurement indicia; these flats are divided by narrower molded separators, which make it easy to trim the unassembled duct to desired length.

  • Patent number: 4481411
Abstract: A heater rack assembly, of the type which supports an electric heating coil in a pattern of parallel rows in a plane, utilizes double-ended stand-off insulators which are formed wafer-like in the plane. The insulators have, at each end, pairs of hook portions facing each other to provide a throat, which opens into a wire-accommodating slot behind the hook tips, the slot converging toward the center at an angle of 150.degree. or less. Adjacent turns of the coil are to be accommodated within the slot. Its convergence retains within the slot adjacent coil turns which might otherwise escape, requiring for such escape what is in effect a reverse in-plane twisting displacement.

  • Patent number: 4035610
Abstract: Instead of constructing an air furnace cabinet as a separate unit and then installing the furnace components such as electrical heating elements, controls and a blower, in the present invention a blower scroll assembly and a heating element assembly are first constructed using flanged sheet metal panels as wide as the interior of the cabinet. The cabinet is then assembled about and integrally reinforced by these assemblies. Lines of securement of the flanges of these assemblies divide the exterior cabinet walls into smaller parts and afford to the cabinet strength and structural rigidity.
