  • Patent number: 11829589
Abstract: An electronic checklist system is disclosed. The system configured to acquire an electronic checklist (ECL), the ECL including a plurality of tasks, each task including a command sequence including one or more command items. The system configured to display the plurality of tasks via a display and receive an initiation input via a user interface. The system configured to transmit one or more communications configured to initiate a performance of one or more automatable actions corresponding to the tasks, the one or more automatable actions configured to at least one of change or measure one or more system states. The system configured to receive system state data. The system configured to display, based on the system state data, one or more completion status graphics indicative of a completion of at least a portion of the plurality of tasks.

  • Publication number: 20230102023
Abstract: A system and related methods for storing data from avionics sensors and displaying the data on flight display. The data is received from the avionics sensor. The data is recorded in a memory according to a storage period, the storage period based on at least in part on a sampling rate of the signal. Furthermore, the memory may be limited to a fixed amount of data, with the oldest data being replaced with newer data. The data is further displayed on a flight display adjacent to a linear scale, with an orientation and position such that the data corresponds to values on the linear scale. By the data displayed on the flight display, an aircraft operator may visually determine trends regarding in-flight data in minimal time, thereby reducing cognitive workload.

  • Patent number: 9991929
Abstract: Embodiments of the inventive concepts disclosed herein are directed to a system, apparatus, and method for streaming compression of periodic binary data. A data transmitter of an aircraft can receive flight data from a flight data acquisition unit. The data transmitter can store the flight data. The data transmitter can compare words corresponding to a first data frame to words corresponding to a second data frame. The data transmitter can identify a word block of consecutive unchanged words, consecutive changed words, or one changed word and one unchanged word. The data transmitter can generate and transmit a header identifying a number of consecutive unchanged words in a word block. The data transmitter can generate a header identifying a number of consecutive changed words in a word block and transmit the header and the word block. The data transmitter can generate a header identifying two words in a word block and transmit the header and the word block.

  • Patent number: 8015390
Abstract: A flight control system includes an output device, a first processor, and a second processor. The second processor is dissimilar to the first processor. The flight control system also includes a first arbitration device coupled to the first processor and a second arbitration device coupled to the second processor. The second arbitration device is configured to coordinate transaction synchronization with the first arbitration device and the first arbitration device is configured to coordinate transaction synchronization with the second arbitration device. A comparator processor is coupled to the first arbitration device and the second arbitration device. The comparator processor is configured to compare transaction synchronized outputs of the first and second processors and the comparator processor effectuates a command to the output device if the comparison is valid.
