  • Publication number: 20220282432
Abstract: A self-standing modular structure support is provided for a self-standing structure having a perimeter component. The self-standing structure support comprises a first member, the first member comprising a perimeter component receiving portion; a second member, being disposed, during use of the self-standing modular structure, in a generally horizontal plane, the second member extending, during the use, outwardly from an exterior surface of the perimeter component; and a third member, the third member being configured to detachably connect the first member to the second member; the first member being supported, during the use, on the second member; the support being configured to support the perimeter component without use of straps and without use of ground engaging projections when the perimeter component is received within a perimeter component receiving portion of the first member. The perimeter component can comprise a plurality of side panels. The structure can further support floor tiles.

  • Patent number: 7138026
Abstract: A method of preventing crown hydration of a golf green by providing a polyethylene tube, stretching the tube to form a stretched tube, cutting the tube in a spiral fashion to form a first sheet with force striations at an acute angle to an edge of the sheet, forming a second sheet in a similar manner as the first sheet with a force striations at an acute angle, securing a surface of the first sheet to a surface of the second sheet with the force striations of the first sheet at a relative angle to the force striation of the second sheet to form a layered sheets, providing a plurality of layered sheets, securing the edges of the layered sheets to form a golf green cover, and applying a holding means through a reinforced section to hold the cover in place.

  • Patent number: 6901697
Abstract: A protective winter turf cover is formed with a layered polyethylene laminated sheet with each layer having force striations running at an angle to the edge of the sheet and with the force striations of one layer at an angle to the force striations of the adjacent layer, the resulting turf cover being lightweight, compactly foldable, and substantially impermeable to water. The protective winter turf cover is efficiently held down with a dual apertured washer and x-position of nails therethrough.

  • Patent number: 6230451
Abstract: An ice skating rink structure comprising a plurality of boards and a plurality of brackets is provided. Each of the brackets has a U-shaped support for holding one or more of the boards and has at least one downward projection for insertion into the ground. The downward projection of the bracket is inserted into the ground and boards are placed within the U-shaped support such that the boards define the shape of an ice skating rink. A liner is placed inside of the ice skating rink and water is poured onto the liner and allowed to freeze and form an ice skating rink. By using boards with different heights, the present invention allows for the quick assembly of an ice skating rink on level or unlevel ground.
