Abstract: The golf bag 10 is provided to be used in conjunction with a motorized golf cart 82. The golf bag 10 includes an elonged container 12 which is provided with an upper access opening 16. A cover member 24 is provided to cover the access opening 16 and provide a space between the rear of the golf cart 82 and the container 12. A pivot assembly 26 is provided to couple the cover member 24 to the container 12. When the cover member 24 is pivoted to the first predetermined position between the container 12 and golf cart 82 the access opening 16 is opened and the container 12 is positioned to extend diagonally outwardly from the golf cart 82. This allows access to the golf bag 10 by a user.
