Abstract: A locking pin for connecting elements having a common bore comprising two coupling units. The coupling action is provided by teeth which engage when the two coupling units are engaged. The teeth exhibit a ratchet effect, whereby the coupling units can be engaged relatively easily by pushing the coupling units together but cannot be easily disengaged by pulling them apart.

Abstract: A dust mop frame suited for holding a dusting fabric with a central portion of the fabric extending across the bottom surface of the frame and over opposite edge portions and extending to the top surface includes a plurality of toggle assemblies for retaining the edge portions of the fabric on the top surface. The toggle assemblies are arranged in opposed sets of at least one toggle assembly adjacent each edge portion of the frame. The toggle assemblies comprise a toggle member having a pivot axis, an arm portion projecting generally radially from the axis, a lip portion spaced from an axis projecting from one side of the arm portion and extending parallel to the axis, a curved portion having an arcuate surface disposed around the pivot axis, means mounting the toggle member on the frame for pivotal movement around the axis, a spring mounted on the frame adapted to frictionally engage and slide along the arcuate surface upon movement of the toggle member.

Abstract: A machine head assembly of the type utilized with rotary floor surface treating machines comprises means for connecting the machine head assembly to the machine's drive shaft connected to a novel flexible annular torque-transmitting member which is connected to a means for engaging a floor surface treating article such as a brush or floor polishing or treating pad. The novel flexible torque-transmitting member comprises a hollow open-ended body having an internal ring at its top end for attachment with the drive shaft connecting means and an external flange at its bottom end for attachment with the means for engaging a floor surface treating article. The interior of the torque-transmitting member has a multiplicity of spaced ribs having their bottom edges disposed approximately in the plane defined by the bottom surface of the external flange.

Abstract: A griddle cleaning pad holder comprised of a handle fastened to a flat base plate which is fitted with opposed inwardly facing rigid hooks capable of accommodating and holding therein an abrasive griddle cleaning pad. The hooks are disposed generally above the plane of the plate toward the handle so they will not contact the griddle surface when the pad is used. The preferred pad holder has protuberances covering the base plate surface to engage the pad surface in use.

Abstract: A mop frame assembly having an improved removable mop frame which firmly holds a mop pad in place yet permits easy removal. The mop frame is formed of a rigid base member having a pair of opposed S-shaped elongate stiff but flexible engaging members which mechanically firmly but removably engage a portion of a body member. The body member is attached to a mop handle holder, preferably by means of a positionable universal joint, while the base member is permanently fastened to a mop pad.
