  • Patent number: 4442453
Abstract: A photo-reconnaissance system in which the landscape is photographed on film. The film is then developed and scanned by electro-optical sensors. The output signal from the E-O sensors is transmitted to a ground station where it is demultiplexed and displayed on a plurality of television type monitors. An operator can view the reconnaissance scene in near-real time and transmit commands back to the airborne station directing a change in flight course or a magnification of a particular target. A permanent record of the reconnaissance scene can be obtained either from the on-board film or by making a print from the television type monitors.
