  • Patent number: 5722674
Abstract: A skidsteer loader having an eccentric axle housing which permits the use of common components to construct skidsteer loaders with different wheel base lengths. The eccentric axle housing is constructed such that when it is mounted to the frame of a skidsteer loader in one relationship with respect to the frame, the wheel base of the skidsteer loader will be a first length, and when mounted in another relationship with respect to the frame, the skidsteer loader has a wheel base different from the first length.

  • Patent number: 4099904
Abstract: A nozzle shut-off valve for placing between the injection apparatus and the mold cavity uses two pins of different lengths for the valve elements and switches air pressure back and forth between pistons on opposite (outer) ends of the pins. The pistons have no fixed connection to the pins. Each pin is actuated either by force from the piston on its outer end or pressure by the plastic melt on its innermost other end. The longer pin has a length sufficient to extend completely across the injection passage and block it to prevent any flow. The shorter pin is deliberately made short enough that it cannot block the passage. The valve is actuated by air pressure on the two pistons in timed relation to injection molding events. Pressure on the piston engaging the longer pin compels blocking of the injection passage during plastication. Switching of pressure to the other pin during injection permits the pressure of molten plastic to spread the pins apart whereupon injection proceeds in the ususal manner.

  • Patent number: 4038015
Abstract: An injection molding machine has an improved lock and block system wherein the lock recess on the ram is defined between the parallel faces of a pair of spaced apart rings. The lock recess is established at a preselected position by sliding various ones of the rings longitudinally forward or rearward on the compression ram to coincide with a preselected advance position of the compression ram (blocking ram) on which is mounted the movable platen. The rings may be spaced apart by a magnetic spacer which is positioned where it will not be struck by moving parts of the machine. At least one jackhole or toolhole is provided in the side of the ring so that it can be separated from adjacent machine elements during set up operations.
