  • Patent number: 10688696
Abstract: Resilient cores preferably for inflatable bodies having resilient slabs that define a plurality of generally columnar holes or resilient arrays of generally columnar solids. The cores further include thermal transmission mitigation materials or treatments means for improving a core's resistance to heat transfer beyond the core's innate insulative properties. Non-exclusive and non-exhaustive examples of such thermal transmission mitigation materials or treatments in slab core embodiments include consideration to hole or bore geometric cross section, frequency, pattern and orientation, the introduction of a thermal barrier at or within at least some holes or bores, and/or slab material selection/treatment.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 11, 2016
Date of Patent: June 23, 2020
    Assignee: Cascade Designs, Inc.
Inventors: John Lincoln, Brandon Bowers, Douglas S. Jacot, Jay Thomas Gutka, James Edward Marson

  • Patent number: 9913548
Abstract: A method of constructing a mattress includes placing a first ribbon about a perimeter surface of a foam member. The first ribbon includes a top lip and a bottom lip. A second ribbon is placed about a perimeter surface of the first ribbon. A third ribbon is placed about a perimeter surface of the second ribbon. The top lip of the first ribbon is folded over the top surface of the second ribbon. The bottom lip of the first ribbon is folded over the bottom surface of the second ribbon. A first fabric panel is bonded to the top surface of the first foam member and to the top lip of the first ribbon. A second fabric panel is bonded to the bottom surface of the first foam member and to the bottom lip of the first ribbon.

  • Publication number: 20180017177
Abstract: AH inflatable cushioning device includes an inflatable main body, a neck portion coupled to the main body, and a valve member having terminal and distal ends. The terminal end is coupled to the neck portion. The valve member has an inflation configuration in which the valve member distal end is disposed inside of the neck portion. The valve member has a deflation configuration in which the valve member distal end is disposed outside of the neck portion.
