  • Publication number: 20170260725
Abstract: The present invention provides an in-line valve particularly suitable for draining facilities to avoid odour penetrating habitable spaces or backflush of drainage liquids. The in-line valve comprises a body, preferably made of two engageable parts, an inset and a duckbill valve. The insert is located within the valve body and surrounding the duckbill valve. The insert funnels liquid from the valve inlet to the valve outlet, so that puddling in the valve body is avoided and therefore no water is accumulated, which could lead to odours or microorganisms proliferation.

  • Publication number: 20170241115
Abstract: The present invention provides a one-way drain valve comprising a fitting and a duckbill valve, wherein the fitting comprises one or more formations that prevent inward folding of the duckbill membrane upon reverse flow conditions without constituting an obstruction to the normal drain flow where entrained solids could forth a plug and thus, prevent adequate drainage. The formations extend parallel to or ergent from a fitting longitudinal axis. The fitting may comprise a recess or other suitable feature adapted to facilitate engagement with the duckbill valve.

  • Publication number: 20170016220
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for speeding the draining of a bathing vessel, and is particularly suitable for speeding the draining of walk-in bath tubs. The apparatus can be concealed in a corner of the walk-in bathtub and comprises an actuation mechanism to open and close the draining outlet which needs minimal force to be actuated, making it especially suitable for use by elderly people. The apparatus can also incorporate a security by-pass drain to avoid overfilling of the bathtub. The apparatus can be installed in most or all standard bathrooms with few adaptations.

  • Publication number: 20160230375
Abstract: A trap for a waste outlet for use in drainage facilities is described which provides a water seal. The trap comprises a one-way valve (23) at the trap inlet (14) and a pressure one-way valve (24) at the trap outlet (16) such that, in addition to prevent ingress of animals from the soil pipe to the buildings, prevents ingress of odours and the water seal being presence of a negative pressure differential across the outlet one-way pressure valve that air can pass through the pressure valve (24) to relieve the pressure differential but in the event of a positive pressure differential, air is prevented from passing through the oneway pressure valve (24).

  • Publication number: 20150176261
Abstract: Plumbing apparatus (10) for incorporation in a waste pipe system comprises a tubular body having an inlet (14) for connection to an upstream waste pipe and an outlet (16) for connection to a downstream waste pipe. A one-way water valve (22) is provided in the body and is arranged to permit flow from the inlet to the outlet and to prevent flow from the outlet to the inlet. An air valve (24) is mounted on an upper portion of the body and is arranged to permit flow of air into the body and to restrict flow of air out of the body. In the event of negative pressure in the downstream waste pipe system the air valve opens to allow air to be drawn into the system. In the event of positive pressure in the downstream waste pipe system the one-way water valve closes.
