Patent number: 10988919Abstract: A shower floor former assembly is provided which comprises a shower floor former having a non-circular waste-plate receiver and a drain waste plate which is dimensioned to be receivable in the waste-plate receiver. A centre point of the waste-plate receiver is offset from a centre point of the shower floor former, and the drain waste plate has a drainage aperture therethrough, a centre point of the drainage aperture being offset from a centre point of the drain waste plate. The drain waste plate is receivable in the waste-plate receiver in a first condition in which the centre point of the drainage aperture is offset relative to the centre point of the shower floor former. The drain waste plate is also receivable in the waste-plate receiver in a second condition in which the centre point of the drainage aperture is coincident with the centre point of the shower floor former.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2019Date of Patent: April 27, 2021Assignee: DLP LimitedInventors: James Edward Self, Iain Stuart Fenna

Patent number: 8403647Abstract: A control device for controlling a shower waste pump, includes a housing, a pump setting, and an over-run setting. The pump setting, by way of a control element, preferably a manually adjustable potentiometer, allows selective setting of a maximum pumping capacity of the waste pump. The over-run setting, also by way of a control element, allows selective setting of an over-run period from a predetermined range during which the waste pump continues to operate after fluid flow through the waste pump has ceased or substantially ceased. The over-run setting and the pump setting together optimize operation of the waste pump, so that the over-run period of the waste pump can be set based on the selected maximum pumping capacity.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2006Date of Patent: March 26, 2013Assignee: DLP LimitedInventors: Robert William Stimpson, Yanchun Wang, Graham Robin Lock, James Edward Self, Nicholas Parsons

Patent number: 8150245Abstract: An electric shower water heater unit for connection to a water supply and a mains electricity supply comprises a housing having a shower water outlet to which a shower hose is connectable; an electric water heater housed in the housing and fluidly connectable to a water supply outlet of the water supply and electrically connectable to the mains electricity supply, the electric water heater supplying water to the shower water outlet of the housing; a user-operable controller (20) for controlling a temperature and a flow rate of water supplied to the shower water outlet of the housing, and a control circuit which is housed in the housing and which controls the electric water heater based on inputs received from the user-operable controller (20). The user-operable controller includes a touch-pressure sensitive element (40, 49) for pressing by a user and which is in communication with the control circuit.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2007Date of Patent: April 3, 2012Assignee: DLP LimitedInventors: Robert William Stimpson, Yanchun Wang, James Edward Self, Graham Jones

Patent number: 8006325Abstract: A pumped shower drain system (10) comprises a shower base (12), a waste water unit (14) provided on the shower base (12) and having a waste water inlet (28) and a waste water outlet (30), and a reciprocating water pump (20) for pumping water from the waste water unit (14) to a drain (22). The reciprocating water pump (20) includes: a pump housing (40) having a pump inlet (48) in liquid communication with the waste water outlet (30) of the waste water unit (14), and a pump outlet (50) in liquid communication with the drain (22); first and second inlet valve seals (56, 58) in spaced relationship; and first and second outlet valve seals (84, 86) in spaced relationship. Each set of inlet and outlet valve seals comprise different kinds of valve seals from each other, and are independently closable to close the pump inlet or outlet. Preferably, the inlet valve seals and/or the outlet valve seals have different modes of operation.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2007Date of Patent: August 30, 2011Assignee: DLP LimitedInventors: Robert William Stimpson, Graham Robin Lock, James Edward Self
