  • Patent number: 7826135
Abstract: A front-projection screen that includes a prismatic film that comprises an outside surface of the screen. The film includes parallel prismatic grooved lines. Each of the lines have a draft surface, a groove surface, and, each of the lines are located on a first side of a base portion of the film. The screen also includes a diffuser-reflector layer adjacent to a second opposite side of the base portion. The outside surface of the screen is oriented to receive an incoming light exclusively through the draft surfaces of the lines. The incoming light has an angle of incidence of about 60 degrees or greater with respect to the normal of the outside surface. A draft-base angle between the base portion and the draft surface is about 75 degrees or greater.
