    Abstract: A magnetized pointer in conjunction with a dial scale affixed to a supporting panel, on the opposite side of which is located a rotary device such as a potentiometer, to the shaft of which is attached a magnet, the poles of which will cause the opposite poles of the magnetized pointer to follow and indicate the degree of rotation, without the need of mechanical coupling.
