  • Patent number: 7008001
Abstract: A tarping system that automatically covers and prevents trash from spilling from a trash opening in the rear vertical panel of a CRC. The tarping system automatically draws a tarp from the lower edges of the trash opening up over the opening, effectively closing the opening completely. The lower edges of the tarp are secured around the lower side edges and bottom edge of the trash opening of the CRC and the upper edges are secured to a tarping bar. The tarping bar is spring-biased to automatically swing upward when the CRC is moved away from a trash compactor site, in the process collecting any trash that spills from the trash opening and preventing trash from slipping from the CRC at the bottom of the tarp.

  • Patent number: 6752146
Abstract: A civilian anti-terrorist attack gas mask used as an emergency measure to remove hazardous air pollutants present in air drawn from an ambient atmosphere to provide a person with suitably breathable air is provided in the form of a cap fitted over the person's head and carrying a hood draped over the person's head to establish a chamber contiguous with the person's face, the gas mask including an impeller assembly placed in a peak on the cap for drawing air from the ambient atmosphere through an adsorption element and a filter element to circulate fresh breathable air through the chamber, the impeller assembly maintaining an air pressure in the chamber raised above the ambient air pressure.

  • Patent number: 6676174
Abstract: A latch assembly for releasably latching a truck bed cover to a sidewall of a pickup truck bed. A striker is preferably mounted to the truck sidewall and a movable elongated latch arm is connected to the truck bed cover, such that the latch arm may be moved between engaged and released positions. A pivot arm having a blocking element is pivotally connected to the latch arm such that actuation of the latch arm to the released position causes the blocking element to interposedly obstruct re-engagement of the released latch member back to the striker. The blocking element operates to maintain the released position of the elongated latch arm until a time when a user may raise open the truck bed cover to an open position.

  • Patent number: 5497571
Abstract: A panel assembly including a translucent panel and an electro-luminescent strip layered on the back of the translucent panel for imparting illumination to at least part of the translucent panel where the connection of the electro-luminescent strip to a power source results in illumination of the electro-luminescent strip and at least part of the translucent panel.

  • Patent number: 4863731
Abstract: Aqueous concentrates intended for addition to nutrient material in the manufacture of feedstuffs for poultry are provided consisting essentially of water and from about 1000 to about 1,000,000 viable sporulated oocysts of at least one species of coccidia to which poultry are susceptible and at least one edible thickening agent which facilitates the mixing of the oocysts into feedstuff without destructive frictional heat.

  • Patent number: 4752475
Abstract: Essentially solid free-flowing pre-mixes and aqueous concentrates intended for addition to nutrient material in the manufacture of feedstuffs for poultry are provided consisting essentially of from about 1000 to about 1,000,000 viable sporulated oocysts of at least one species of coccidia to which poultry are susceptible and at least one edible thickening agent.

  • Patent number: 4552759
Abstract: Effective immunity against coccidiosis can be imparted to poultry if the birds are reared on a regular diet containing added viable sporulated coccidia oocysts at a level sufficient only to induce sub-clinical infection. Preferably the oocyst-containing diet is presented to the birds as soon as they are able to ingest solid food, and contains from 10 to 10,000 oocysts per kg of nutrient feed material. The simultaneous administration of an anti-coccidial drug at a curative level can help to control the immunity-producing infection. The oocyst-containing feedstuff of the invention can be prepared using solid free-flowing pre-mixes or aqueous concentrates, containing appropriate numbers of oocysts together with edible thickening agents. The oocysts can be protected against loss of viability through dehydration by being encapsulated. Growth of the immunized birds is sustained even when they are exposed to a severe oocyst challenge sufficient to induce serious infection in unimmunized birds.
