  • Publication number: 20130216590
Abstract: The present invention relates to formulations of antiviral compounds, in particular [2-(6-amino-purin-9-yl)-1-methyl-ethoxymethyl]-phosphonic acid (tenofovir, PMPA), suitable for topical application, and to their use in the reduction of or prevention of acquisition and transmission of herpes simplex virus.

  • Patent number: 5272800
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming and attaching a preform to a metallic workpiece, particularly an epoxy preform for use in electronic packages. The epoxy preform is stamped from a strip and maintained in an upper die assembly. The metallic workpiece is indexed underneath the upper die assembly whereupon the epoxy preform is deposited onto the metallic workpiece and the metallic workpiece removed from underneath the upper die assembly.

  • Patent number: 5144709
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a shape such as a cavity in a workpiece. An aperture is provided in the area in which the cavity is to be formed. Thereafter, the cavity is depressed into the metal causing the metal to flow into the area from which metal was removed by the aperture formation. If desired, after formation of the original aperture, the cavity may be partially depressed, and the aperture requalified to a circular shape. Thereafter, the cavity may be depressed into the workpiece to its final depth.

  • Patent number: 4928512
Abstract: A die set includes a punch for stamping a cavity in a work piece to produce a flat base surface and sidewalls which are perpendicular to the base surface. A forming bushing applies a deformation stress perpendicular to the stress applied by the punch to direct metal flow. In one embodiment, the impact surface of the punch contains piercing points to increase the depth of penetration of the punch.

  • Patent number: 4636122
Abstract: A device is provided which can join pre-drilled substrates such as panels, and can establish a threaded attachment post securely anchored to a substrate. The device is comprised of a hollow sleeve, and an internal rotatable core. When the device is inserted into a hole, and the core is rotated relative to the sleeve, prongs in the inserted extremity of the sleeve are forced into tight engagement with the hole. The opposite, uninserted extremity of the sleeve is provided with external threading, useful for general mounting purposes.

  • Patent number: 4216364
Abstract: A high current cell-shorting switch is provided with removable bus bar tips having an enlarged beveled area of contact. A plurality of movable tapered bridge contacts are arranged along a main shaft such that upon rotation of the shaft a plurality of the bridge contacts are simultaneously driven into spanning contact with two of the bus bar tips. The main shaft is supported by pairs of split collars which can be easily separated thereby permitting removal of the main shaft and associated contacts. Upon separation, the switch contacts and bus bar tips may be easily removed for refurbishing or replacement.
