  • Patent number: 4041617
Abstract: Adjustment dials are attached to adjustable sources of physical force interpretable by the dials as positive and negative decisional influences. One or more of the physical forces are measured by one or more emotional level indicators which also display type or polarity of emotion based on a comparison between the forces provided by comparing apparatus. The comparing apparatus also drives a decision indicator. The apparatus disclosed in detail is alternatively of electronic, fluidic, and mechanical nature. Emotions measured are Emotional Tension, Bad-Good Feelings, Guilt-Pride, and Like-Dislike. Subjective and objective disagreement indications are also derived. The apparatus may be used for simulating interpersonal relationships. A Contrary-Agreeable Attitude selector switch is incorporated in a perceptual processing circuit for use in such apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4009525
Abstract: Apparatus for simulating living beings interacting in pairs, small groups, and large groups.A simulator of the man-woman relationship includes a simulator of the man and a simulator of the woman, each such individual simulator having adjustment dials relating to situational and personality factors. The dials adjust the voltage at a threshold detector which operates decision indicator lamps and provides a voltage at a decision voltage output port. The decision voltage output of the man-simulator is connected to the threshold detector of the woman-simulator via a sense port. Similarly, the woman-simulator has a decision voltage output port connected to a sense port and input to the level threshold detector of the man-simulator. A switch interrupts each output so that the effect of relationship can be shown. By adjustment and interpretation of the dial settings and decision indications, paradoxes and problems in man-woman relationships are demonstrated.

  • Patent number: 3971142
Abstract: Apparatus for simulating decisionmaking in living beings. One or more adjustable voltage sources having knobs indicating levels of decisional influence are connected to a level detecting transistor. The level detector operates a lamp or other display device indicating the decision made in response to the total influence. Personal and judicial decisionmaking are simulated by the disclosed apparatus. One or more variable resistors adjustably isolating the level detector from respective voltage sources have knobs indicating personality factors variably isolating decisionmaking from decisional influences associated with the voltage sources. Apparatus employing a variety of physical principles may be used to accomplish the simulation.
