  • Patent number: 11850361
Abstract: A respiratory treatment apparatus generates an indication of inspiration or expiration based on a measure of motor current of a flow generator. In an example, first and second current signals are derived from the measurement. The first derived current signal may be a long term measure or average of current and the second derived current signal may be a short term measure or average of current. A processor 120 determines an indication of inspiration or expiration as a function of the first and second derived current signals. The function of the first derived current signal and the second derived current signal may be a comparison of the derived current signals. The derived signals may be determined by filtering. The indication of inspiration or expiration may serve as a trigger or cycle control for changing treatment pressure in synchrony with patient respiration without measured signals from pressure, flow or speed sensors.

  • Publication number: 20230321400
Abstract: The deflectable tip catheters can be used with a primary delivery system (e.g., a bronchoscope, endoscope, or other surgical access device) to access a certain target tissue, such as a tumor (e.g., a lung tumor). The primary access device provides initial access and the deflectable tip catheter can be passed through the primary access device to reach the target tissue which is not otherwise accessible by the primary access device. The deflectable tip catheters have an internal bore free of obstructions such that a drug delivery device (e.g., a needle) or a diagnostic tool can be passed therethrough to directly access the target tissue.

  • Patent number: 11678972
Abstract: An adjustable implant is disclosed herein. The adjustable implant may comprise a shell including membrane and a base and having a first diameter in a plane parallel to the base. A band may be disposed within the shell. The band may have a first end and a second end connected to a spool. The band may be in a round (e.g., elliptical) configuration having a second diameter in the plane that is less than the first diameter. By wrapping the band onto the spool, the diameter of the band may be decreased and the height of the implant may be increased. By unwrapping the band from the spool, the diameter of the band may be increased and the height of the implant may be decreased.

  • Publication number: 20220378468
Abstract: Various exemplary steerable needles, methods of using steerable needles, and methods of manufacturing steerable needles are provided. In general, a needle configured to be advanced through soft tissue can be configured to be passively steered in a desired direction through the soft tissue. The needle can include a distal tip configured to facilitate the steering. The needle's distal tip can include a beveled or chamfered edge on one side thereof. The distal tip of the needle can be configured to bend relative to a remainder of the needle in a direction opposite to the side of the distal tip that includes the chamfered edge. The soft tissue can provide resistance to the distal tip being advanced therein such that the distal tip automatically bends in a direction away from the chamfered edge. The needle can also include a bendable portion that is proximal to the distal tip.

  • Patent number: 11426871
Abstract: A system can be configured to generate and analyze one or more candidate logistics maps based on a set of input parameters and a baseline map of a logistics facility. The system can identify modifications strategies, resource limits, regions of interest, mapping constraints through analysis of the input parameters and the baseline map. The generated candidate maps and the baseline map can be implemented in virtual environments that are configured to replicate one or more operations associated with the baseline map, such as item distribution, item retrieval, and reorganization operations. The virtual environment can further simulate the resource limits associated with the baseline map and compare performance indicators from simulation of the baseline map to performance indicators from simulation of the candidate maps to identify viable improvements over existing logistics solutions.
