Abstract: Embodiments include a golf swing training device primarily formed from a first material having dimensions suitable for wrapping around a shaft of a golf club and a second material coupled to the first material wherein the second material conforms to the dimensions of the first material and adds sufficient weight to the golf club. The training device is removable coupled to the shaft of the golf club. A method including securing a swing training device around a portion of the shaft of the golf club, the training device comprising a length dimension suitable to distribute a weight of the training device about a substantial portion of the length of the shaft and then swinging the golf club.

Abstract: A bat that has shock absorbing and vibrational damping properties as well as enhanced strength and flexibility and method of manufacturing. Such properties are imparted by laminating under pressure a biaxially braided tubular overlay member formed from a hybrid of carbon fibers and aramid fibers to the handle portion of the bat.

Abstract: The invention relates to preformed, shaped, refractory, heat-insulating articles for use in an expendable sidewall lining of a molten metal handling vessel. The lining has a face at part of which is exposed a zone of matter of high resistance to erosion by molten metal and accompanying slag. The vessel may be e.g. a tundish for use in the continuous casting of molten metal e.g. steel.
