  • Patent number: 12227908
Abstract: An attachment device for floor shaving systems includes a machine mounting coupler and a tool receptacle that are joined at a compound angle to position a scraping tool off the center axis of a scraping machine. The mounting coupler is constructed from solid steel bar and has a shape and a size that is complementary to the tool receiver of a scraping machine and is secured within the receiver via a mounting pin. The tool receptacle is constructed from steel and includes a hollow channel with a magnet on one end and an opening on the other end for receiving and engaging the shaft of a scraping tool and permitting the same to rotate 360 degrees. The mounting coupler and tool receptacle are joined at an angle of 11 degrees to permit the blade of the tool to engage expansion joint intersections diagonally to prevent damage to concrete.

  • Publication number: 20240243810
Abstract: An optical high-power amplifier (“OPHA”) circuit, e.g., for a spaceborne satellite-based communication network, includes fiberoptic gain and polarization maintenance (“PM”) stages, a polarization splitter, first and second photodetectors, and an electronic control unit (“ECU”). The gain stage outputs an amplified optical signal in response to a low-power (“LP”) optical input signal. The PM stage outputs separate high and low power output signals in response to the amplified signal. A majority of power of the input signal is allocated to the HP output signal. The polarization splitter transmits the LP output signal along the slow and/or fast polarization axis. The photodetectors are arranged on the slow and fast axes. The ECU outputs a polarizer control signal to a polarization rotator device in response to electrical signals from one or both photodetectors to command the rotator device to output the LP optical input signal with a targeted polarized output state.

  • Patent number: 11796754
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system and method of controlling a strander by wireless visual monitoring. In certain embodiments, a stranding system includes at least one vision device mounted to a rotating structure of a strander. The at least one vision device is configured to capture a view of at least a portion of a subunit reel of at least one of a set of payoff units of the rotating structure to generate vision data. The stranding system further includes at least one wireless communication module mounted to the rotating structure to receive and wirelessly transmit the vision data over a high-bandwidth data link. The stranding system is configured to proactively identify payout hazards of the subunit package (e.g., cable crossover) to, for example, prevent damage to the strander.

  • Patent number: 11687479
Abstract: Aspects of the invention include computer-implemented methods, systems, and computer program products that assign a centralized event tag to each communication interface of a plurality of communication interfaces of a chip interconnected in a hierarchy through the communication interfaces to a plurality of chips in a multiprocessing system. A determination is performed of whether to accept or drop a message associated with an event received at one of the communication interfaces of the chip based on comparing a local centralized event tag with a received centralized event tag. The local centralized event tag is updated based on one or more advancing rules to maintain event synchronization between the chip and the plurality of chips.
