  • Publication number: 20060179746
Abstract: A stand for aiding in the transfer of drywall sheets from a delivery vehicle through the entranceway of a building or house. The stand has four individually adjustable legs. A platform is positioned at the top of the stand for providing support for the drywall sheets. A pad is removably disposed on the upper face of the platform. The pad provides a surface having a low coefficient of friction so that drywall sheets may easily slide thereover.

  • Patent number: 6952935
Abstract: An ice making and ice delivery system is provided, whereby nuggets of ice are formed from scraped ice in the ice making apparatus, which is cooled by an evaporator in a refrigeration cycle, with the evaporator being provided with refrigerant from a closed circuit compressor/condenser refrigerant system, with the evaporator and its associated ice making apparatus being capable of being disposed at a location remote from the condenser unit, for delivery of ice from one or more such evaporator/ice making apparatus to one or more ice storage units, which units can likewise be located spaced apart form the evaporator/ice making units, and with one or more ice delivery conduits providing for delivery of ice from the ice making unit(s) to the storage unit(s) by means other than gravity.

  • Patent number: 6276353
Abstract: A projectile launcher is provided for propelling impact-safe foam projectiles. The projectile launcher includes a launch tube sized and configured to accommodate insertion of an impact-safe projectile with substantially little or no friction between the launch tube inner wall and the projectile. A nozzle is disposed adjacent one end of the launch tube. The nozzle is adapted to receive a flow of compressed air from a source and to discharge a stream of high-velocity air which impinges upon the projectile disposed within the launch tube. A play-participant-actuated valve is interposed between the nozzle and the source of compressed air to control the flow of air to the nozzle. The valve is adapted, when actuated, to place the nozzle in communication with the source of compressed air. Upon actuation of the valve the nozzle discharges a stream of high-velocity air which transfers momentum to the projectile, propelling it down the launch tube and into the air or at a selected target.

  • Patent number: 6111876
Abstract: In a network device such as a network switch having a port coupled to a communications medium dedicated to a single virtual local area network and another port coupled to a communications medium shared among multiple virtual local area networks for transmitting data frames between the dedicated communications medium and the shared communications medium, a method of identifying the virtual network associated with each data frame received by the network switch when transmitting the data frames over the shared communications medium. The method comprises receiving data frames from the dedicated communications medium coupled to one port, and, with respect to each data frame so received, inserting a new type field and a virtual network identifier field. The contents of the new type field indicate the data frame comprises a virtual network identifier field.

  • Patent number: 5542573
Abstract: The present invention provides for an under-counter ice storage apparatus for dual-sided dispensing of ice above the counter for use in a food service establishment which delivers particulate ice from a single ice storage receptacle to two ice discharge chutes on opposite sides of the apparatus. The apparatus comprises an ice retaining receptacle for storage of ice, an ice elevator for elevating a quantity of ice from a level inside the ice storage receptacle to a dispensing level, and a pair of generally back-to-back facing ice dispensing chutes. A single user or two users simultaneously may obtain particulate ice from the two back-to-back facing ice delivery chutes by actuation of a switch associated with that user's delivery chute. The ice storage and dispensing apparatus may further comprise a bank of beverage dispensers adjacent to each ice dispensing chute.
