  • Patent number: 9248008
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to a dental abutment and methods of forming the same. The abutment may include a head portion located at an upper end of the abutment and constructed to support a prosthetic tooth replacement and soft tissue adjacent the head portion, an anti-rotation feature located at a lower end of the abutment and constructed to mate with a dental implant, and a fillet located at an interface between the head portion and the anti-rotation feature. The fillet may reduce a risk of fracture at the interface between the head portion and the anti-rotation feature. In some examples, the abutment may be formed at least partially of a ceramic material.

  • Patent number: 6050234
Abstract: A ceramic/metallic, low polluting, long life, high performance, two-cycle gasoline engine that requires no oil lubrication. This engine eliminates the need for oil lubrication by: a) incorporating advanced ceramic materials, such as silicon nitride for critical engine components, b) employing the use of gasoline as well as the products of combustion of gasoline as lubricants for some critical surfaces, and c) engineering design approaches for critical engine components and assemblies. The elimination of the need for oil lubrication allows the engine to produce far less pollutants than conventional two-cycle engines.

  • Patent number: 5392801
Abstract: A self righting walking cane device which comprises a lightweight hand grip handle, a lightweight shaft device and a bottom weighted base device to facilitate the righting action of the cane device. The base device includes a plurality of frame devices and faceted shell sections which are attached about the bottom portion of the shaft device. The frame devices or shell have a unique configuration which together with the weight device positioned about the bottom portion of shaft device which together with unique shaft configuration provide a unique self righting walking cane. This combination of elements produces a cane whose center of gravity is below the center of rotation of the righting surface causing the cane to remain vertically stable and if disturbed from its vertical position to return to it. The construction of the cane device also allows it to stand by itself without the need of support.

  • Patent number: 4379670
Abstract: A system for removing material from the bottom of a pressure vessel without relieving the vessle's pressure in which a tube connected intermediate its inlet and outlet ends to the pressure vessel receives material through the connection and into pocket means carried by a conveyor running through the tube. The conveyor carries the material to the outlet or discharge of the tube. The pocket means form moving labyrinth seals at each end of the tube for preventing vessel pressure loss through the tube.
