  • Publication number: 20010052289
Abstract: A powered low restriction air precleaner device and method for centrifugally ejecting heavier-than-air particulate debris from debris laden air for providing for a combustion engine air intake, an engine air cooling system, or a cab air intake system, for example. The device employs a fan located in the device for drawing debris laden air into the air precleaner device. The debris laden air is spun in the air precleaner device to form a rotating flow pattern that stratifies the debris laden air with the most massive particles of debris in the outermost orbits of the rotating flow pattern of debris laden air. Debris from the rotating flow pattern is ejected from the device for cleaning the air, which is flowed to an air outlet of the device for supplying the cleaned air.

  • Patent number: 5766315
Abstract: An air precleaner and method for centrifugally ejecting heavier-than-air particulate debris from an air stream utilizes a circular separator chamber formed with a toroidal dome for smooth airflow transition of the vortex airflow moving through the separator chamber in a cyclonic pattern upwardly from an inlet in a base of the precleaner past a debris ejection duct where it is folded over by the toroidal dome for whirlpooling down to an outlet in the base radially inwardly of and through the upwardly moving vortex airflow. The area for the airflow in the separator chamber progressively decreases linearly to increase the speed of the airflow in the chamber. A particle accelerator assembly includes a plurality of appendages that arc back from a central hub in a swept-back attitude relative to a direction of the vortex airflow.

  • Patent number: 5240593
Abstract: A purification method and device for purifying industrial liquid such as oil from contaminates including first container housing for receiving the industrial liquid in bulk and separating liquid and particulate contaminates therefrom by reversing a flow direction of the received liquid. The thus processed liquid is transferred to a second container and is subjected to a further filtration by forcing the liquid under high pressure through at least one filter element accommodated in the second container. The high pressure on the at least one filter element results in a compression of the at least one filter element thereby precluding the liquid being processed from bypassing the filter element. A further filter barrier seal element may be provided above the at least one filter element and serves as a final filtration prior to a discharge of the liquid from the second container.
