    Abstract: The present invention provides a unique method and apparatus for improving crop yield through the use of an inventive irrigation solution to inhibit surface pathogens, improved water penetration and increase crop production and market quality. In a presently preferred embodiment, the inventive method comprises the steps of producing a gaseous mixture of negatively charged ionized air including from about 50 parts per million to about 4,000 parts per million ozone, from about 1,000 parts per million to 20,000 parts per million oxygen ions, and from 2,000 to about 50,000 parts per million nitrogen oxides from ambient air; effecting direct contact between the ionized air gaseous mixture and a supply of water by means of a submicron injector to produce a gaseous solution for treatment of irrigation water to be applied to agricultural crops. Accordingly, by treating the crops during irrigation the inventive process promotes plant growth and inhibits harmful insects and parasites on plants above ground.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for starting cattle on feed quicker, promoting fill, regaining shrink and help prevent the occurrence of shipping fever complex and promote digestibility and utilization of feedstuffs within the digestive system of ruminant animals, particularly cattle. In a presently preferred embodiment, the inventive method comprises the steps of: producing a gaseous mixture supply of ozone and nitrous oxide gases from ambient air; effecting direct contact between the ozone/nitrous oxide gas mixture and a supply of water by means of a bubbler device to produce a prescribed hydrogen peroxide-nitrous oxide content; continuing said contact between the ozone gas supply and the water supply until the content of hydrogen peroxide-nitrous oxide in water supply is within a range of from about 1,000 parts per million to about 40,000 parts per million; and providing the resultant water supply for use as feed water to the animal to be treated.

    Abstract: A method for improving efficiency of an internal combustion irrigation engine is provided by the present invention. In one embodied form, the method comprises the steps of: channelling an inlet air stream to the engine through a single pass air cooler at a flow rate of between about 200 cubic feet per minute and about 5000 cubic feet per minute, the air cooler being a counter current flow packed cooling tower utilizing irrigation water as cooling means; directly contacting the inlet air stream with irrigation water in the air cooler to bring the temperature of the air stream within a range of between about 55.degree. F. and about 75.degree. F. and a relative humidity within a range of between about 90% and 100%; admixing the cooled and humidified inlet air stream with fuel; and directing the resultant gaseous mixture to a combustion chamber of the internal combustion irrigation engine.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for improving the efficiency of an internal combustion engine by producing ozone gas and positively charged air particles in a supply of air to an engine. The apparatus comprises an ozone generator cell suitably positioned with respect to the engine so that an air supply to the engine passes between adjacent plates of the ozone generator. In one embodied form, the apparatus comprises a tubular ozone generator cell for charging and ionizing a relatively small volume of air to the engine. The air supply to the generator may be first treated to substantially remove ambient moisture by means of a suitable air dryer. Optionally, a plurality of generators may be connected in sequence to provide an increased source of ozone gas to the engine thereby to commensurately reduce fuel consumption and exhaust gas emissions.

    Abstract: The invention provides an improved fuel filter for removing formation water, hydrogen sulfides, sulfur and other undesirable particulates from, for instance, a natural gas fuel supply. The improvement comprises a molecular sieve having a non-uniform diameter pelletized catalyst composed of an alkyl metal alumino silicate, combined with an inert binder. The catalyst accordingly resists powdering and supplies more free area between pellets, thus minimizing pressure drop through the molecular sieve portion of the filter. The improvement further comprises provision of tapered holes at the upper end of a tubular member contained within the lower portion of the filter. The tapered holes thus permit gaseous fuel flowing through the tubular member to undergo a rapid expansion, providing a more even distribution of fuel flow to the molecular sieve.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for obtaining fertilizing solution from fossil fueled stationary engines by adding carbon dioxide and nitrogenous compounds, derived from exhaust gases, and ozone gas derived from a generator, to water so as to produce a fertilizing solution which promotes crop growth. The method comprises direct contact of exhaust gases derived from fossil fueled combustion engines particularly natural gas fired compressors, with water solution containing ozone gas and an agent selected from the group consisting of lime, limestone, calcium phosphate and/or mixtures thereof in a scrubber, cooling the enriched water from the scrubber, recycling the cooled enriched water through the scrubber until a desired concentration of carbon dioxide and nitrogen compounds are achieved and collecting the enriched water in a storage facility.
