  • Patent number: 7798316
Abstract: A system for handling vehicle frames. The system includes a conveyor assembly including a loading end and an unloading end, and the conveyor assembly carries a plurality of vehicle frames thereon. The system also includes a frame transfer assembly disposed at the unloading end of the conveyor assembly. The frame transfer assembly may be adapted to grasp a vehicle frame from the conveyor assembly and transfer the vehicle frame from the conveyor assembly. A vehicle frame inversion system is also provided that includes a first robotic inversion device that may include a first clamping system, and a second robotic inversion device that may include a second clamping system. The first and second clamping systems are adapted to grasp a vehicle frame, and the first and second robotic inversion devices are adapted to lift and invert the vehicle frame.

  • Publication number: 20090099856
Abstract: A method for enhancing the valuation protection available to a shipper for a shipment of household goods whereby the carrier offers for financial consideration to waive one or more common law defenses and/or one or more interpretation limit defenses otherwise available to it to mitigate its liability to a shipper for a claim for damaged/lost goods, and an agreement by the carrier to increase its maximum liability by providing the shipper an additional dollar amount, preferably $25,000, of Full Value Protection coverage in addition to the minimums required by the carrier's tariffs, or in addition to the shipper's Full Value Protection valuation declaration. The financial consideration to be paid by a shipper is at least partially determined by the nature and number of defenses offered to be waived. As one or more common law or interpretation limit defenses may exhibit geographical significance, the offerings may include differential pricing for one or more such common law defenses to be waived.

  • Patent number: 6684190
Abstract: A dynamic, user-friendly financial and illustration system for evaluating, exposing and re-balancing, to the user's appropriate risk tolerance, the inherent risk in such financial planning areas as retirement, insurance, estate decision-making and targeted financial goal funding, e.g., college education, long-term care decisions, etc. This system provides a basis for both calculating and visualizing the elements of risk, and the re-balancing of that risk in accordance with the user's risk tolerance, in any financial decision when the underlying elements of risk are known and can be inputted or computed.

  • Patent number: 5956691
Abstract: A dynamic, user friendly insurance policy illustration system for computing and graphically displaying the future values of a model life insurance policy. Key variables are entered and a graphic display of future values is instantly displayed. Variable keys can be selected to recalculate or solve for a certain stated policy performance, or variables can be entered and changed at will to display various "what if" life insurance scenarios. Variables can be rapidly moved through a range of values to create a "move" of the illustrated values changing from variable "A" to "B."The dynamic policy illustration system has built-in tables which can be used to view the effect various economic changes may have on a life insurance illustration.

  • Patent number: 5730069
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to control the burning of a lean hydrocarbon containing gas stream under stable conditions using a combination of control logic and hardware. Temperature within the combustor is controlled by using a plurality of staging valves that adjust the amount of oxygen and auxiliary fuel supplied to the combustor burner. Oxygen level is controlled by using actuated butterfly valves that control the flow of primary air to the combustor. The system has pressure control valves for anticipating and compensating for pressure changes and resulting air flow changes as well as temperature monitors and transmitters for anticipating and correcting temperature drops.
