  • Patent number: 8443832
Abstract: This invention pertains to a sequencer for controlling the distribution of fluid input into a tank to at least two outlets using a plurality of cells connected to actuate a respective floating outlet. Each of the cells has a relatively uniform construction comprising an enclosure and a float. Each enclosure has an inlet arranged at one end to allow fluid therein and offset openings at an opposite end. The enclosure also is configured to accept the float in an inner cavity and arranged so as to allow the fluid therein to cause said float to move within said enclosure. Each cell is further arranged in pairs of a lift cell and a trigger cell adapted to actuate a floating outlet. Each float has an inclined upper surface configured to transfer a ball through the offset openings as the fluid causes the float to rise and fall from each cycle of actuate a respective floating outlet. The sequencer being particularly adapted to a system and method for dosing a septic system having two or more disposal fields.

  • Patent number: 7938565
Abstract: A lighting assembly and apparatus having a light fixture mounted using a tube and stake assembly; the tube is configured with a male receptacle formed of a pronged plug positioned vertically with the upper end flush with the earth; and the stake for insertion into the earth, the stake is configured with a female receptacle containing electrical contacts adapted to receive the pronged plug of the male receptacle. The female receptacle is adapted to have an open end so as to clear debris to the bottom of said stake. The light assembly and apparatus can be constructed from low cost, low voltage outdoor lights so as to provide ground level illumination of pathways, steps, and landscaping.

  • Patent number: 5941535
Abstract: A pipe support for mounting a pipe within a pipe-receiving aperture of a concrete container. The pipe support includes an annular anchor, a pipe seal and a removable closure. The annular anchor is for being cast in place within the concrete container surrounding the pipe-receiving aperture. The pipe seal has a flexible, reversible, generally frusto-conical outer portion extending axially rearward and radially inward from the anchor to a joint of the pipe seal. A flexible, reversible, generally frusto-conical inner portion extends axially forward and radially inward from the joint to a smaller diameter end of the pipe seal for receiving a pipe in a generally water-tight manner. The outer portion of the pipe seal can be reversed so that the pipe seal will extend out of the concrete container so that a pipe can be inserted therethrough from inside the container.

  • Patent number: 5290434
Abstract: The invention presented relates to a septic system which doses effluent into a disposal field. More particularly, the invention includes a relatively water-tight walled structure capable of accumulating a volume of septic tank effluent; a disposal field dosing system having at least one outlet conduit having an outlet end and an inlet end; a stand pipe which extends from each of the outlet conduits towards the top of the structure; a float having a chamber having an opening on an upper surface thereof; at least one feed conduit having an inlet end located within the chamber and an outlet end in operative connection with the inlet end of the outlet conduit; and a jointed coupler which forms the operative connection between the feed conduit(s) and outlet conduits.

  • Patent number: 5101849
Abstract: A pipe baffle and installation assembly for a sewage tank is disclosed. The baffle comprises a corrugated polyethylene sheet having two circular ports which overlap when the sheet is folded prior to installation. The baffle is mounted on the interior of the sewage tank by positioning the overlapping ports over a sleeve housing the pipe, and is secured to the tank interior with an annular locknut that engages the sleeve. A method for installing the sleeve, the baffle and the locknut is described.

  • Patent number: 5102122
Abstract: Exercise apparatus in which the position of a cable which is drawn against a resistance source can be changed to permit performing a variety of different exercises. A handle or other unit which is attached to the cable is carried by a trolley to various positions along a track which extends along a curved surface of a housing and defines a prescribed curved path. Once the trolley is set in a position along the track for a particular exercise, the cable is drawn against the resistance source.
