Patent number: 11841882Abstract: Described herein is a system and method of processing data of a digital twins object model. Data associated with a node of the digital twins object model is parsed to identify metadata associated with the node. The data can comprise telemetry data received from an IoT device associated with the node. User-defined function(s) are determined that match the identified metadata. The data and metadata can be provided to the user-defined function(s). The determined user-defined function(s) are executed. Also described herein is a method of creating a user-defined function for processing data of a digital twins object model. Information regarding business logic is received from a user defining a user-defined function. Information regarding telemetry condition(s) to which the user-defined function applies is received defining a matcher. The user-defined function and matcher are stored as objects within a spatial intelligence graph associated with the digital twins object model.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2018Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Stefan Krzysztof Gawrys, Patrick James Gorman, Andres Carlo Petralli, Daniel Escapa, Alina Mihaela Stanciu, David John Brennan, Grégory Christopher John Vandenbrouck, Hubert Van Hoof

Patent number: 10860081Abstract: An electronic device, typically a microcontroller, which is divided into a multiplicity of power domains comprising one or more intelligent peripherals, is provided with an on-board power management module for switching power to one or more domains for pre-determined time periods and in a predetermined sequence. The values of the predetermined time periods and sequence may be pre-programmed by the design engineer or user of the device. In one example, power is switched to domains in a round robin fashion. An optional interrupt capability permits selective application of power to a dormant intelligent peripheral requesting it at the expense of others and based on a priority scheme. Consumption of current supplied to power domains may be monitored by a power watchdog or alternatively via a dedicated power monitor associated with each intelligent peripheral. The invention helps to reduce device power consumption without any associated reduction in processing performance.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2013Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: NXP USA, Inc.Inventors: Carl Culshaw, Gordon James Campbell, Alistair James Gorman, Mark Maiolani, David McMenamin

Patent number: 10854007Abstract: Embodiments relate to supplementing a mixed reality system with information from a space model. The space model is a hierarchical or tree model of a physical space, where nodes represent physical places in the physical space and a parent-child relationship between nodes in the tree indicates a physical containment relationship for physical places represented by the nodes. The space model models containment relationships (e.g., building-floor-room) and does not necessarily include a two or three dimensional map of the physical place. Some of the nodes of the space model include representations of sensors and store measures therefrom. The mixed reality system includes a three-dimensional model possibly modeling part of the physical space. The mixed reality system renders views of the three-dimensional model according to the sensor measures stored in the representations.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2018Date of Patent: December 1, 2020Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Stefan Krzysztof Gawrys, Patrick James Gorman

Patent number: 9959172Abstract: A data processing device, comprising a processing unit and a test control unit connected to the processing unit, is described. The processing unit and the test control unit are arranged to: start a logic test of the processing unit; detect a test abort event; and, in response to the test abort event, perform an event response action which comprises aborting the logic test and booting the processing unit, said booting including executing an event handling routine. The event response action may comprise setting a reset vector to an address of the event handling routine. System availability may thus be improved. In particular, the delay between capturing an asynchronous signal and responding to it may be reduced. The test abort event may, for example, be an asynchronous event having certain pre-defined characteristics. A method of operating a data processing device is also described.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2013Date of Patent: May 1, 2018Assignee: NXP USA, Inc.Inventors: Steven McLaughlin, Alan Devine, Alistair James Gorman, Alistair Paul Roberston
