  • Patent number: 11975440
Abstract: Described herein is a novel lanyard system for removable pieces connected to and detached from a piece receiver of a power tool. The system includes one or more lanyard assemblies, each with a two ended strap and a retraction system fixed to the tool all in a storage region outside of the tool. In particular, one end of the strap is connected to the piece and the other strap end is connected to one end of the retraction system. The other end of the retraction system is connected to the outside of the tool. The strap is of sufficient length for the retraction system to retract a piece to the storage region outside the tool after disconnection from the piece receiver. It is contemplated that the retraction system includes at least one spring assembly to cause the lanyard system to remain under tension while the piece is mounted in a piece receiver, thereby preventing or at least reducing the strap from interfering with the task at hand, the piece, the piece receiver or tool itself.

  • Patent number: 11465269
Abstract: Multiple attached lanyard systems for attaching to a power tool, with each lanyard system comprising a lanyard attached to a driver piece holder that holds a driver piece and is connected to a retraction system. The multiple attached lanyard systems providing a different driver pieces that can be selected by pulling each driver piece out of its attached lanyard system, extending the driver piece past a driver piece receiver and inserting the driver piece into the driver piece receiver.

  • Patent number: 10926400
Abstract: The present invention is a novel lanyard system for a piece releaseably connected to a tool by a piece receiver that includes a lanyard assembly with a two ended strap and a retraction system fixed to the tool in a storage region of the tool. In particular, one end of the strap is connected to the piece and the other strap end is connected to one end of the retraction system. The other end of the retraction system is connected to the tool. The strap is of sufficient length for the retraction system to retract a piece to the storage region after disconnection from the piece receiver. It is contemplated that the retraction system includes at least one spring (coil or helical) to cause the lanyard system to remain under tension while the piece is mounted in a piece receiver, thereby preventing or at least reducing the strap from interfering with the task at hand, the piece, the piece receiver or tool itself.

  • Patent number: 8945379
Abstract: A pool pump strainer having a rotatable trim assembly within a flooded housing cavity. A suction inlet and filtered suction outlet pair and a backwash inlet and backwash outlet pair are formed in and pass through opposite regions of a housing with at least 30 degrees between each part of a pair. A strainer disposed inside a conduit fixed between a pair of shutter plates makes up the trim assembly which is rotated between strainer and backwater positions by a stem extending through the housing. In the strainer position, water is drawn through the strainer to catch debris and then passes to the pump's suction side. In the backwash position, water is drawn through the flooded housing cavity to the suction side of the pump by a shunt. Thereafter, water discharged from the pump flows under pressure across the strainer to dislodge debris to be deposited into a catch box.
