  • Publication number: 20230172187
Abstract: A multilayer protective device such as, but not limited to, a garment such as a vest or arm or leg wrap, a bag, a backpack, wraps for tents, camping items, etc. designed to be worn by domesticated or farm animals of various sizes and/or humans or placed on objects for which predator attack is to be deterred. The multilayer protective device is made from a multi-layered composite textile containing a non-toxic, non-lethal repellant substance such that upon a bite from an attacking animal, the non-toxic, non-lethal repellant substance is released deterring the attacking animal for such a time as to allow the wearer or user of the protective device to escape or be rescued.

  • Publication number: 20130098788
Abstract: A modular case for a mobile device is formed by providing a hard shell layer within a soft overmold layer. The soft overmold layer preferably lines both an inner and an outer surface of the hard shell layer so as to both protect the mobile device from scratches and to distribute any impact forces to the case across the surface of the soft overmold layer. The hard shell layer generally has multiple sets of injection mold ports so that when the soft overmold layer is formed over the hard shell layer, the soft overmold layer threads through the injection ports, providing an interlocking union of the two layers.

  • Publication number: 20120077650
Abstract: A friction-based exercise device is disclosed. Contemplated exercise devices comprise a segmented shaft having one or more longitudinal patterns running the length of the shafts or shaft segments. Cylindrical sliders can be slid onto the shaft where an interior surface of the slider comprises a complimentary pattern to and frictionally engages with the longitudinal pattern of the shaft. When under a gripping force of a user, the sliders flex inward toward the shaft and increases friction resistance as the user slides the sliders along the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20060116892
Abstract: A system and method of enabling a transaction by a remote user for a service having an associated access number is described. The present invention enables a mobile user to pay for services and/or goods using their mobile telephone. A routing system is provided that is adapted to select the correct billing destination for a specific customer based on the customer parameters. This enables two or more billing systems to be used so that the user is not restricted to a specific operator or mobile wallet application when conducting transactions.

  • Patent number: 5618999
Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring the condition at or near the surface of objects is disclosed. The apparatus is a vehicle which includes a housing which is supported and translated across the object surface by three wheels. The front or first wheel is associated with an encoder and sensor which magnetically determines the physical condition of the object. The apparatus includes a starter block which includes a series of metallic wires embedded at certain depths and locations within the starter block. The vehicle passes over the starter block prior to passing over the object in order that the vehicle be recalibrated by the starter block prior to observing the physical condition of the object.
