Abstract: The present disclosure provides an adjustable and foldable rack featuring a platform adjustable in width, supported by at least one first leg and at least one second leg forming a cross configuration. The legs are pivotally connected at a central hinge, allowing for height adjustment and movement between collapsed and extended positions. A weighing module integrated with the platform includes sensors for detecting the weight of items, with wires extending through hollow passages in the platform to connect the sensors to a controller and a display. The display is configured to present weight data. The rack includes feet caps at the lower ends of the legs, providing ground contact and stability. The device offers a versatile and user-friendly solution for supporting and weighing items.

Abstract: A system and method that allows privacy-enhanced querying to occur, where re-identification risk is reduced to a user-configured level are described. The system and method include a query federation agent that analyses and augments user-submitted queries to include results that contain metadata relating to the privacy characteristics. The system and method ensure results that contain privacy risks above defined thresholds are suppressed or altered so that re-identification cannot occur. The system and method add noise to results that contain privacy risks above defined thresholds so that re-identification cannot occur. The system and method utilize a data profile that defines the sources of potential re-identification risk in a database schema. The system and method apply privacy rules that are configurable for different database tables and configurable thresholds for different types of privacy risks.

Abstract: A modular case for a mobile device is formed by providing a hard shell layer within a soft overmold layer. The soft overmold layer preferably lines both an inner and an outer surface of the hard shell layer so as to both protect the mobile device from scratches and to distribute any impact forces to the case across the surface of the soft overmold layer. The hard shell layer generally has multiple sets of injection mold ports so that when the soft overmold layer is formed over the hard shell layer, the soft overmold layer threads through the injection ports, providing an interlocking union of the two layers.

Abstract: A friction-based exercise device is disclosed. Contemplated exercise devices comprise a segmented shaft having one or more longitudinal patterns running the length of the shafts or shaft segments. Cylindrical sliders can be slid onto the shaft where an interior surface of the slider comprises a complimentary pattern to and frictionally engages with the longitudinal pattern of the shaft. When under a gripping force of a user, the sliders flex inward toward the shaft and increases friction resistance as the user slides the sliders along the shaft.

Abstract: A system and method of enabling a transaction by a remote user for a service having an associated access number is described. The present invention enables a mobile user to pay for services and/or goods using their mobile telephone. A routing system is provided that is adapted to select the correct billing destination for a specific customer based on the customer parameters. This enables two or more billing systems to be used so that the user is not restricted to a specific operator or mobile wallet application when conducting transactions.

Abstract: A bone prosthesis for implantation at a joint is adapted to closely replicate the normal loading of the femur and is suitable for implantation using a single incision anterior approach, a form of minimally invasive surgery (MIS). The bone prosthesis comprises a stem adapted for orientation with a medial trabecular stream of the femur.
