  • Publication number: 20070234484
Abstract: A hand held tool is used to install screening material in frame members of pool or lanai enclosures. The frame members have receiving tapes in recesses therein or adhesively fastened to a surface thereof. The receiving tape has upstanding stems thereon with mushroom heads at an outer end. The hand held tool is a handle that has at one end thereof a rotatable wheel thereon. The rotatable wheel has a multiple of lateral ridges thereon and the outer circumferences of the ridges have blunted points thereon. When installing a screening frame member, the wheel will engage an outer surface of the screening material and push the interstices of the fabric into the receiving tape and the screening material will be held in place by being located below the mushroom heads of the receiving tape. Another end of the handle has a knife located therein for the purpose of cutting excess material after an installation.

  • Publication number: 20070119553
Abstract: A pool or lanai screen enclosure or a screen for a window is constructed of hollow frame members having grooves at the corners of the frame members. The grooves receive splines of different cross-sections. The splines have one part of a hook and loop system attached thereto. The splines are pressed into the grooves the screens having at their edges the other part of the hook and loop fastener system attached thereto. When each part of the respective hook and loop fasteners are pressed or attached together, a complete screen between the frame members is established.

  • Publication number: 20070123123
Abstract: An anti insect screening is made from composite based and thermosetting fibers or yarns that are constructed into a screen fabric wherein the yarns cross each other. The fabric with the yarns therein is heat set whereby the crossing yarns will adhere to each other. The thus obtained fabric is coated by a fluoropolymer based film. The anti insect screening is stretchable but will revert to its original state through the phenomenon of plastic memory. The anti insect screening is chemically inert and solvent resistant to substantially all chemicals. Its mechanical toughness demonstrates superior anti-stick and low frictional properties.

  • Publication number: 20070119554
Abstract: An enclosure is placed over a pool or patio and the enclosure consists of vertical columns and horizontal beams including screening material placed between said columns and/or beams. Each of the columns and horizontal beams have channels therein and a fastening tape is placed each into the channels. The tape is constructed of a multitude of stems thereon. Each of the stems have mushroom heads thereon. The mushroom heads will penetrate through interstices in the screening material when the screening material is pressed over the mushroom heads, whereby the screening material is held firmly in place.

  • Publication number: 20070098981
Abstract: A multiple of protective sheets are supplied in a stack. There is a main layer that will ultimately form the protective sheet. The main sheet has an upper surface having an adhesive surface thereon. The upper surface will adhere to any item that is pressed thereon. The lower surface of the main layer has a release agent thereon that has less of an adhesive power than the upper layer. The reason for this is that when the item that is pressed on the upper surface it will adhere to that item but will be released from the next lower protective sheet in the stack. The lower surface release agent, however is strong enough to keep the remainder of the stack intact but will “let go” when the protective sheet is peeled from the next lower sheet. The stack of protective sheets can be configured either as a hand or the outline of a shoe.

  • Publication number: 20060059822
Abstract: A deck clip comprises a generally vertically extending leg; and a pair of arms extending from an upper edge of the leg. Each arm is configured for insertion into a slot of a deck board and presents an enlarged lobe. When the deck clip is screwed to a deck joist, the lobes grip the deck boards and hold them tight against the joist. The shape of the lobes increases the gripping force between the lobes and the deck boards as adjacent boards are hammered or otherwise pushed together. The lobes facilitate the gripping of the boards and help maintain the desired gap between adjacent boards for the life of the deck.
