  • Patent number: 8752907
Abstract: A centering system for centering the inner and outer wheels of a dual wheel assembly on a hub includes at least three centering sets. Each centering set has an inner sleeve and a separate outer sleeve. Each inner sleeve fits between a wheel stud on the hub and a bolt hole in the inner wheel to center the inner wheel. Each outer sleeve fits between the wheel stud and a bolt hole in the outer wheel to center the outer wheel. The inner sleeves can also include a section that fits between the wheel stud on the hub and a bolt hole in the brake drum to center the brake drum.

  • Patent number: 8220327
Abstract: A runout gauge has a mounting block, a support block that slides horizontally relative to the mounting block, a spring that pushes the support block away from the mounting block, a roller that rotates on a horizontal axle on the support block, and a dial indicator that mounts on the mounting block. The dial indicator has a plunger that contacts the support block. A vertically adjustable stand positions gauge with the roller against the tire tread and radial runout pushes the support block which pushes the plunger. A narrow roller is used to measure lateral runout.

  • Patent number: 7178880
Abstract: A wheel centering pin disclosed for vehicle wheels having apertures of uniform diameter. The wheel centering pin is provided as a set of three that are threaded on three circumferentially spaced hub bolts on which a wheel is mounted to center the wheel. Nuts are threaded on the remaining bolts and tightened to fasten the wheel to the hub. The centering pins are removed, and remaining nuts are applied in their place and tightened on the remaining bolts to center the wheel.

  • Patent number: 7111909
Abstract: A drum and wheel-centering sleeve disclosed for vehicle drum and wheels having apertures of uniform diameter is a set of three that are threaded on three circumferentially spaced hub bolts on which a wheel drum is mounted to center the wheel drum. The sleeve has a hollow sleeve body with a drum-centering portion with a first exterior surface of uniform diameter and a wheel-centering portion with a second exterior surface of uniform diameter the wheel centering portion being of a smaller diameter than the drum centering portion. A set of three sleeves are threaded on bolts at twelve, four and eight o'clock positions with drum centering portion in associated drum apertures to center the drum on the hub. The wheel is mounted with wheel apertures on the wheel-centering portions of the three centering sleeves to center the wheel on the hub.

  • Patent number: 5361668
Abstract: The disclosure involves a valve for a brass instrument, e.g., a trombone, having an outer casing and a rotatable piston with first and second outer passages and a central passage between the outer passages. Two pairs of tubes are connected to the casing with each tube of a pair being coextensive with the other tube of that pair. At least one and preferably each outer passage is coextensive with a pair of tubes when the piston is in the switched position. The valve thereby affords "straight through" air flow during that valve position at which the trombone air column is longer or longest. Air flow resistance is thus reduced and the musician experiences a better "feel" when playing lower register notes, particularly when doing so at increased volume. A method for making the new valve, which is substantially hollow and lightweight, is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4528538
Abstract: A combined switch and circuit breaker device. The circuit breaker includes trip means for interrupting current flow when the current exceeds a predetermined level and for preventing the resumption of current flow until the trip means is reset. The device is adapted such that after interruption of current flow by the trip means, opening the switch resets the trip means.

  • Patent number: 4298854
Abstract: A combined cartridge fuse holder and switch employs a novel switching mechanism including a pair of spaced bars arranged in a first plane and positioned adjacent an inclined ramp. A contact pin is mounted in a switch arm, which in turn is pivotally mounted so that the pin can be moved from an OFF position in which the pin rests on the inclined ramp to an ON position resting on and bridging the contact bars. One of the contact bars is electrically coupled to a first terminal while the other of the contact bars is electrically coupled through a fuse to a second terminal.

  • Patent number: 4292616
Abstract: A combined cartridge fuse holder and switch incorporates the cartridge fuse as part of the switching mechanism. One end of the cartridge fuse is pivoted about a fulcrum contact coupled to a first terminal. A switch assembly swings the other end of the cartridge fuse transversely relative to the fuse axis to make and break contact with a contact on a second terminal.
