  • Patent number: 5963126
Abstract: A visual signaling device has one or more light source modules arranged in a stack. Each module is of "Tri-liptic" i.e. generally triangular shape, but with the triangle corners rounded. Inside the triangle, is a perfect circle, to aid in the optical dispersion of the light source. The modules are each formed by back and front moldings. The front molding defines one of the sides of the module, while the back molding defines the other two sides of the module. The light source module contains a light source (incandescent, halogen, rotating, strobe or LED) on a printed circuit board. This module also contains the electronics, which operate the light source, and can cause it to flash, be illuminated constantly or operate a rotating reflector around a stationery bulb. A conduit, which is a strip of printed circuit board with connectors at its opposite ends, extends between the top and bottom of each module of the stack.

  • Patent number: 5037228
Abstract: A single piece file clasp, molded from a resin material, includes a main body portion and two prong portions extending from opposite ends of the main body portion. A series of equally spaced holes are molded in one of the prong portions and at least one post is molded in the other prong portion. The post is molded with a knob at its end which is dimensioned to provide a snap-fit engagement with any one of the holes to secure the prong portions together at varying amounts of overlap between them.

  • Patent number: 4177501
Abstract: An illuminating arrangement utilizes a sheet-type light-pipe. Light is reflected upwardly to the areas to be illuminated by providing the light-pipe with selectively roughened portions on its rear surface. When utilized to illuminate instruments such as calculators, surface areas of the calculator such as the pushbuttons and associated graphics receive light from the light-pipe by providing apertures in the keyboard which correspond positionally to the roughened portions of the sheet-type light-pipe. Additionally, the pushbuttons can be retained within the frame of the calculator by providing flanges extending laterally from the pushbuttons which are retained within apertures in a frame-like cover by retaining elements which extend from the cover inwardly into the openings.
