Publication number: 20200146157Abstract: A method is presented that improves reliability for the mechanical electrical connection formed between a grid array device, such as a pin grid array device (PGA) or a column grid array device (CGA), and a substrate such as a printed circuit board (PCB). Between adjacent PCB pads, the method increases a spacing pattern toward the periphery of the CGA, creating a misalignment between pads and columns. As part of the method, columns align with the pads, resulting in column tilt that increases from the center to the periphery of the CGA. An advantage of the method is that the column tilt reduces the amount of contractions and expansions of columns during thermal cycling, thereby increasing the projected life of CGA. Another advantage of the method is that it reduces shear stress, further increasing the projected life of the CGA.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2019Publication date: May 7, 2020Inventors: James H. Kelly, Dmitry Tolpin, Roger M. Maurais

Publication number: 20170368708Abstract: An apparatus for modifying a sheet of a material (e.g., paper, cardstock, a plastic film, foil, fabric, etc.), or a substrate, includes a base, a handle and a plurality of tools held by the handle. The tools may be removably secured to the handle, and may be arranged in a variety of different ways. Each tool is capable of interacting with the substrate in a manner that will modify (e.g., cut, score, perforate, mark, etc.) the substrate. The handle is capable of being translated, or moved, at least partially across the substrate and of causing the tools to concurrently interact with and modify a plurality of laterally discrete, a substantially linear, substantially parallel locations of the substrate as the handle is translated at least partially across the substrate.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2017Publication date: December 28, 2017Inventors: James H. Publication number: 20100061179Abstract: A paint system containing at least one pump 150 and at least one paint mixing vessel 160. At least one return line 46 functions to route paint from the paint system back into the paint mixing vessel from whence it was drawn. At least one eductor 522 fluidly communicates with a respective paint mixing vessel 160 and a respective return line 46 whereby during operation of the paint system, as paint traverses through return line 46 and into eductor 522, paint is drawn from the respective paint mixing vessel 160 thereby mixing the paint drawn from the vessel with the paint in the return line 46.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2009Publication date: March 11, 2010Inventors: Steven T. Patent number: 6679645Abstract: A furniture support system generally includes a first frame member, a second frame member, at least one pin inserted into the first frame member, and at least one fastener inserted into the second frame member. The fastener is engageable with the pin via an eyelet in the pin so as to secure first and second frame members together at a substantially right angle. The pin is inserted into the first frame member through a bore, and the fastener is inserted into the second frame member through a channel. One end of the fastener is located within a recessed portion of the second frame member, while the other end is inserted into the first frame member through a cross-bore that intersects the bore at a substantially right angle. The eyelets on the pin are substantially aligned with the cross-bores such that the end of the fastener inserted into the first frame member can engage the eyelet. A perimeter of the recess is surrounded by a reinforcing ring, and a reinforcing plate is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2002Date of Patent: January 20, 2004Assignee: Pulaski FurnitureInventor: James H. Patent number: 5368555Abstract: An organ support system and method adapted for use with a patient and designed to modify the blood from the patient includes a control system, a venous line coupled to an output of a patient, an arterial line coupled to an input of the patient, and a cell line inserted into a hollow fiber cartridge to form an organ assist device. Blood is passed through the organ assist device. A small flow is extracted from the extracapillary space to check the integrity of the organ assist device. With this closed loop arrangement, a proper fluid balance can be maintained for the patient without requiring any dialysate, and leaks from the cell line to the patient can be immediately detected and prevented from reaching the patient.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 1992Date of Patent: November 29, 1994Assignee: Hepatix, Inc.Inventors: Norman L. Patent number: 4879701Abstract: Case clocks, especially of the so-called tall-case or grandfather type, equipped with at least one suspended elongated weight, preferably contained within a weight shell or casing, are provided with at least one narrow annular memorializing band surrounding the weight or shell and retained thereon, the annular band carrying on an exposed surface indicia commemorating a particular event to be memorialized. Preferably, the memorializing band slidably encircles the weight or shell, the latter including at its lower end a radially projecting detent, of bead shape for example, to limit the downward movement of the band. A plurality of such bands can be stacked vertically end-to-end on each weight or shell. The weight and bands are visually exposed through doors or other openings or transparent panels in the clock case.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 1988Date of Patent: November 7, 1989Assignee: Pulaski Furniture CorporationInventor: James H. Patent number: 4003653Abstract: In the method of producing color slides from black and white originals, a light box, a glass plate and a camera are used. Also utilized is a positive and negative of a black and white original. In the first step, a film frame in the camera is exposed to the positive which is between the camera and the light box. Any desired background texture between the positive and the light box and a color filter on the camera lens may be used. In succeeding steps, the negative is used, mounted between the camera and the light box, and various portions of the negative are blacked out and different colored filters used while continuing to expose the film frame in the camera to various portions of the negative.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 1975Date of Patent: January 18, 1977Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventor: James H.
