  • Patent number: 11931879
Abstract: A power tool is provided including a housing; an electric motor disposed within the housing; a main trigger switch mounted on the housing; a side handle mounted on the housing, the side handle having an auxiliary trigger; and a controller disposed within the housing operable to control a flow of electric current from a power source to the electric motor. The controller activates the motor only if the main trigger and the auxiliary trigger are both actuated. If the one of the triggers is released while the other trigger is still engaged, the controller is configured to continue operating the motor only if the released trigger is reengaged within a time threshold, but otherwise discontinue operating the motor until both the main trigger and the auxiliary triggers are released and reengaged.

  • Patent number: 9042727
Abstract: Additional bandwidth is provisioned to layer 2/3 networks by initially provisioning optical wavelength channels to meet incremental needs for additional capacity. When bandwidth requirements grow large enough, a wavelength-sized channel is provisioned to meet the bandwidth needs, and the previously provisioned optical wavelength channels are freed up to be reused for additional growth. The optical wavelength channels may be channelized VLANs mapped to resizable optical channel data units such as ODUflex units.

  • Patent number: 7613166
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to routing of circuits in a network. More particularly, the invention encompasses a method and an apparatus for routing circuits using dynamic self-adjusting link weights within a network. The invention further includes multiple schemes for routing circuits with dynamic self-adjusting link weights in a SCN (Switched Communication Network). The network could consist of optical, ATM, FR, or IP/MPLS switches and cross-connects.

  • Patent number: 6163013
Abstract: An electric heating grid extends from the middle of one side of the windshield, down that side to the bottom of the windshield, and from there across the bottom to the opposite side. The grid is operated by a control circuit having an on-off switch that is accessible to the vehicle operator. The control circuit includes a switch for sensing ambient outdoor temperature so as to allow the grid to be operated only when the outdoor temperature is below a threshold that distinguishes wintertime from non-wintertime conditions.

  • Patent number: 5022479
Abstract: An elongate, shallow, rectangular duct is formed in a vehicle hood by structure depending from an inner surface thereof, the hood inner surface forming a top surface of the duct. The rectangular duct includes a forward ambient air inlet and a rear air outlet and incorporates a series of baffles strategically located between the two for eliminating moisture from air flowing therebetween. A sealing sleeve disposed in the duct outlet to engage the engine air cleaner is provided within the duct with an internal passage having a bellmouth nozzle entrance section to the outlet and an external surface having a third baffle section thereon within the duct. The portion of the sleeve external of the duct includes a bellows section to accommodate variations in the position of the air cleaner inlet.

  • Patent number: 4592442
Abstract: A control system for a two-wheel/four-wheel drive vehicle having a rear axle which can be operated in a high speed mode or a low speed mode and a front axle which can be drivingly coupled to the engine power train to place or maintain the rear axle in the low speed mode when the front axle is sensed to be engaged. The control system includes several switches. A first switch is provided for sensing when the front axle is drivingly coupled to the power train. A second switch is associated with a speed selection control system of the vehicle for causing the power train to be driven in a low speed mode or a high speed mode. A third switch is coupled to the first switch and is responsive to sensing of the front axle being drivingly coupled to the power train for preventing the second switch from causing the rear axle to be driven in the high speed mode and for forcing the rear axle to be driven in the low speed mode so long as the front axle is drivingly coupled to the power train.

  • Patent number: 4148154
Abstract: In a composite horticultural system, a lower worm culture container contains a worm culture medium for growing worms and converting manure to worm casting type top soil. The top soil is used in a plant growing container mounted above the worm culture container. The environment over the plant growing medium is controlled by an environmental control means comprising a frame with replaceable panels. One set of panels comprises a sheet of translucent material for permitting sun light to pass therethrough and for retaining the heat within the plant growing container, whereas a second set of replacement panels comprises a slat arrangement for shading the plants and for passage therethrough of air for controlling the temperature within the plant growing container.
