  • Patent number: 4747227
Abstract: A method of assembling a fishing rod including a rod member, a conic enlargement on the rod member, and a foregrip having a generally conic inner circumferential surface and an outer circumferential surface with a part thereof being eccentric with respect to the conic inner circumferential surface. In practicing this method, the conic inner circumferential surface of the foregrip is wedged into engagement with the conic enlargement on the rod member, and the eccentric part of the outer circumferential surface of the foregrip is arranged in a preselected angular position therefor extending generally circumferentially outwardly from the rod member.Other methods of assembling a fishing rod and other fishing rods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4581895
Abstract: A hydrostatic transaxle assembly having first and second output shafts extending outward therefrom. The assembly includes a housing enclosing a portion of the first and second output shafts and forming a generally cylindrical chamber therein. A manifold is positioned around one of the output shafts and has an outer surface which mates with an inner surface of the housing. A pair of high torque, low speed motors are secured to an inner surface of the housing on opposite sides of the manifold. One of the motors is splined to the first shaft while the other motor is splined to the second shaft. Operation of the motors cause the respective shafts to rotate. The motors operate on pressurized fluid which is supplied through fluid passages. A control valve is positioned across the fluid passages to regulate the operation thereof.

  • Patent number: 4163337
Abstract: A fishing lure of the type coupled to a fishing line and the shank section of a barbed fishing hook. The fishing lure includes an elongated housing which defines therein a housing void for receiving the shank section of the fishing hook. A small bore communicates through the front end of the housing into the housing void for allowing the fishing line to pass therethrough, thereby allowing the housing to move in a forward direction along the fishing line away from the fishing hook after the barbed fishing hook has been struck by a fish.
