  • Patent number: 6871832
Abstract: A shut off valve for use with a concrete delivery hose includes a single flexible cylindrical sleeve disposed within a one piece, continuous rigid casing that surrounds the hose. A gas chamber is defined between the sleeve and the casing so that when pressurized gas is forced into the chamber, the sleeve will be displaced radially inwardly to constrict the hose and stop the flow of concrete. The shut-off valve also includes a relief valve for quickly exhausting gas from the valve, and an off/on indicator for indicating open/closed positions of the valve.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 31, 2003
Date of Patent: March 29, 2005
    Assignee: Construction Forms, Inc.
Inventors: Gary D. Lehnhardt, Gordon W. Guslick, Rolando Altamirano, Gerald Biever, James H. Larson

  • Patent number: 4942899
Abstract: A fluid pressure regulator is designed with a removable cartridge in which all of the wetted parts of the regulator which are subject to wear by the fluid may be removed from the housing of the regulator without detaching the housing from the plumbing to which it is attached. The valve and valve actuator are designed so as to encourage relatively high velocity fluid flow there through so as to prevent clogging and settling of material therein. The valve actuator is also designed to produce divergent flow outwardly to the diaphragm perimeter preventing clogging and setting of material therein.

  • Patent number: 4621975
Abstract: A centrifugal pump seal for providing a liquid seal to a vertically oriented pump drive shaft, including a bellows seal fixedly attached to the drive shaft and having a rotatable sealing ring as a part thereof, mated to a fixed sealing ring held in a seal housing, and a seal chamber surrounding the bellows seal and shaft, for containing pump liquid, wherein the fixed and rotatable seal rings and a portion of the seal housing are exposed to liquid contact for cooling, including a recirculating bleed line for continuously replenishing the liquid in the seal chamber.

  • Patent number: 4615485
Abstract: A paint flow controller for insertion into a continuous flow pressure feed recirculating paint supply system where a portion of the recirculating paint is bled off through an externally adjustable, annular metering orifice for supply through a connector to a paint spray gun.
