  • Patent number: 4293069
Abstract: An improved hanger bar support means for the hanger bar of a wardrobe container formed from a paperboard blank. The container body is formed from a pair of side walls, a pair of end walls and a bottom wall joined together with the upper end of said body being open. Each end wall has a closure flap connected thereto and each side wall has a top end flap hingedly connected along the upper edge of the side wall and coextensive with the width of the side wall. Each top end flap includes first and second panels folded into a multiple ply hanger bar support assemblage engaging against the contiguous side wall below said upper edge of the side wall either on the exterior or the interior of the container body. Said first and second panels are hingedly connected together along a double fold line spaced from said upper edge.

  • Patent number: 4111300
Abstract: A wardrobe container formed from an integral paperboard blank having a pair of side walls, a pair of end walls and a bottom wall joined together to form a container body opening at its upper end. Each end wall has a top end flap hingedly connected to the upper edge thereof and each side wall has a top end flap hingedly connected only to the upper edge thereof. Each side wall top flap has hanger bar support means cut out from a medial portion of the flap and adapted to be folded and locked into a multiple panel assemblage engaged against the side wall for supporting a conventional hanger bar spanned between the side walls on the interior of the container. Said muliple panel assemblage can be arranged in operating position either on the interior or exterior of the container. Various embodiments of the end wall top flaps are disclosed which cooperate with an end wall for providing access into the interior of the container through a said end wall.

  • Patent number: 4108348
Abstract: An improved integral multiple partition structure for a paperboard container is formed from an integral paperboard blank having a pair of panels connected only along a central connecting portion about which the panels are folded to form the partition structure without separating the panels one from the other. The partition structure may also be made from a portion of an integral paperboard container blank, again allowing the partition to be erected into the completed carton without separating the partition structure from the blank or from either of the partition panels. The partition structure may include a lock for locking the two partition panels into the substantially perpendicular cross-dividing position of the erected partition structure. The panels and the folding connecting portion thereof may be shaped to compensate for the flaps of the container being shorter than the depth of the completed container itself.
