  • Publication number: 20240235988
Abstract: Packets in a data communications network are encapsulated by an encapsulation module on a sending computer and decapsulated on the receiver computer, the transmission of data packets being controlled by credit sent by the receiving computer to avoid causing congestion. The encapsulation module varies fields in the packets that are used by switches to determine the path to the destination, so as to distribute the load of a transfer across a plurality of paths to the receiving computer. The sending and receiving computers use per path packet delivery, loss, latency and packet trimming information to detect abnormal network behavior and submit alerts and summary statistics to a monitoring station. The monitoring station uses this information to detect network bottlenecks and other faults and to localize them to specific switches or links.

  • Patent number: 11799777
Abstract: Packets in a data communications network are encapsulated by an encapsulation module on a sending computer and decapsulated on the receiver computer, the trans-mission of data packets being controlled by credit sent by the receiving computer. When overloaded, network switches trim the payload from packets; trimmed packets inform the receiving computer of the demands of the sending computer.

  • Patent number: 10143641
Abstract: A method for applying a temporary tattoo ink to an applicator is disclosed, in which the applicator includes a multi-layered pad having a first adhesive layer, a second adhesive layer, an ink-containing layer and a cut-away top layer. A tattoo design is cut into each of the first and second adhesive layers and a temporary tattooing ink is absorbed into the ink containing layer. The temporary tattooing ink includes genipin. The method includes embedding the genipin into the non-woven material by either dipping the ink-containing layer into an aqueous solution of genipin prior to assembling the multi-layered pad or pipetting the genipin onto the assembled applicator.
