  • Publication number: 20140182682
Abstract: A mountable water spray shield device is shown herein. A rigid sheet attached to a rear insert section is placed by way of a mounting means attached to the undercarriage of a designated vehicle and within the area defined by the wheel well of the designated vehicle. Once placed within the mounting means, a fastening means secures the rigid sheet and insert section to the mounting means. During operation of the designated vehicle upon a wet roadway, the mountable water spray shield serves to divert water which would otherwise be emitted into the path of adjacent traffic.

  • Publication number: 20140041014
Abstract: In a method and system for routing packets between clients, a packet is received from a first client connected to a secure sockets layer virtual private network (an SSL/VPN) network appliance. An identification is made, responsive to an inspection of the received packet, of i) a type of connection required for transmission of the received packet to a destination address identified by the received packet and ii) a second client connected via an SSL/VPN connection to the SSL/VPN network appliance and associated with the identified destination address. A request is made for establishment by the second client of a connection of the identified type within the SSL/VPN connection. The received packet is transmitted to the second client via the established connection of the identified type.

  • Publication number: 20140001963
Abstract: A lighting network where control of the lighting fixtures in the network may be distributed among the lighting fixtures. The lighting fixtures may be broken into groups that are associated with different lighting zones. Certain lighting fixtures will have or be associated with one or more sensors, such as occupancy sensors, ambient light sensors, and the like. Within the lighting network or the various lighting zones, lighting fixtures may share sensor data. Each lighting fixture may process sensor data provided by its own sensor, a remote standalone sensor, or lighting fixture, and process the sensor data according to the lighting fixture's own internal logic to control operation. The lighting fixtures may also receive control input from other lighting fixtures, control nodes, light switches, and commissioning tools. The control input may be processed along with the sensor data according to the internal logic to further enhance control of the lighting fixture.

  • Patent number: 8612700
Abstract: A system, method, and medium for performing data duplication from a first storage device to a second storage device at a block level. A backup application processes metadata prior to replicating the data to determine the best method for performing the duplication operation. Several images may be selected for duplication, and instead of copying the images one at a time, the backup application copies data from the first storage device to the second storage device block-by-block. The catalog metadata may be updated so that the backup application may be made aware of the new copy of data. The replicated data may be accessed for future restore operations such that individual files may be retrieved from the replicated data by the backup application.
