Publication number: 20250023369Abstract: A charge control system includes a lithium battery configured to provide lithium battery power to a set of electrical loads, a user signaling device, and control circuitry coupled with the lithium battery and the user signaling device. The control circuitry is operative to: (A) detect availability of charge from an external charger, (B) in response to detection of the availability of charge from the external charger and prior to controlling the external charger to adjust the amount of charge stored by the lithium battery, perform a set of pre-charging assessment operations, and (C) based on the set of pre-charging assessment operations, provide a user notification via the user signaling device, the user notification indicating whether the lithium battery is properly setup for charge adjustment. When the user signaling device generates the user notification, the user is informed that the utility vehicle is properly connected to the external charger.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2024Publication date: January 16, 2025Inventors: Luke Anthony O'Hara, Arthur James Harvey

Patent number: 12199988Abstract: Some methods enable a first device to assist a second device in becoming authenticated with a content management system. The content management system can receive user credentials or an elevated access token from the first device. The content management system can respond to the first device with an access token for use by the second device. Alternatively, the content management system can send the access token directly to the second device. The second device can then use the access token for authenticated communications with the content management system.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2022Date of Patent: January 14, 2025Assignee: DROPBOX, INC.Inventors: Yuran Lu, Rong Zhao, James Harvey

Patent number: 12092445Abstract: An implosion shield of ballistic fabric adapted to mount so as to surround an implosion sleeve or dead-end on a power line. The implosion shield may be wrapped or formed as an envelope or tent including one piece and folded around the implosion sleeve or dead-end and secured with fasteners. A method of installing the implosion cover may include installing an implosion sleeve or dead-end on a power line, and then installing the implosion shield around the implosion sleeve or dead-end, by wrapping the implosion shield around the implosion sleeve or dead-end, or by securing an envelope implosion shield over the implosion sleeve or dead-end, or by draping the shield over the implosion sleeve or dead-end, or by mounting the shield on a frame over the implosion sleeve or dead-end, then detonating the implosion sleeve or dead-end. The implosion shield attenuates shock, pressure and sound waves from the detonation.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2023Date of Patent: September 17, 2024Assignee: Quanta Associates, L.P.Inventors: David Karl Wabnegger, Daniel Neil O'Connell, Mark Douglas Ferrari, Benjamin James Harvey

Patent number: 12043373Abstract: A landing gear for an aircraft includes a landing strut having proximal and distal ends with the proximal end couplable to the fuselage of the aircraft. The landing strut includes a gas chamber, a liquid chamber, a cylinder and a piston that is movable relative to the cylinder between extended and retracted positions. A wheel is coupled to the distal end of the landing strut. A force sensor is disposed between an extend stop surface of the piston and the chamber. Pressurized gas in the gas chamber biases the piston to the extended position such that the force sensor experiences a preload force. The force sensor is configured to detect a reduction in the preload force during a landing maneuver responsive to contact between the wheel and a landing surface.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2022Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: Textron Innovations Inc.Inventors: Philip Reese Boyer, Jerry Allen Pongratz, Mason James Harvey

Publication number: 20240092190Abstract: Techniques control a utility vehicle. Such techniques involve storing electric power in a lithium battery of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve operating a motor controller of the utility vehicle in a normal mode in which the motor controller provides electric power from a lithium battery of the utility vehicle to an electric motor of the utility vehicle to turn one or more ground engaging members of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve, after operating the motor controller in the normal operating mode, operating the motor controller in a walkaway mode in which the motor controller configures the electric motor to provide braking torque.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Arthur James Harvey, Norman R. Padgett, John Ledden, Robert Charles Bradley, Patrick Dwaine Warden

Publication number: 20240039179Abstract: A grounding clamp uses a spring driving a piston mounted movable jaw as a safety lockout. The movable jaw and a fixed jaw, which may include teeth, form a conductor clamp. The ground clamp mounts on the end of a hot stick to provide for electrically insulated remote operation of the ground clamp by a lineman holding the hot stick and pulling on, or releasing, a lever arm on the hot stick. The system provides increased safety for the lineman as the spring providing the spring loading of the clamp has a high spring force to overcome, thus providing the lockout. The lever arm on the hot stick tool provides mechanical advantage to overcome the spring force and thus release the lockout. The lineman cannot usefully operate the ground clamp manually without the hot stick due to spring force lockout.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2023Publication date: February 1, 2024Inventors: Daniel Neil O'CONNELL, Raymond Henry JODOIN, Benjamin James HARVEY

Publication number: 20230277364Abstract: Disclosed is a fluid absorbent bed pad suitable for absorbing bodily fluids of a patient. The pad includes a backing layer comprising a first polymeric fiber and a second polymeric fiber, the second polymeric fiber being relatively tacky relative to the first polymeric fiber and being present in said backing layer in an amount relatively smaller than the amount of said first fiber and comprising a bicomponent fiber. The presence of the second polymeric fiber will impart a tacky nature to the backing to resist slipping and bunching of the bed pad.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2023Publication date: September 7, 2023Inventors: James Harvey, Vincent Hahn, Caleb Townsend
