  • Publication number: 20250146308
Abstract: A static arm platform for mounting onto a static arm includes a rigid saddle adapted for releasable mounting down onto the static arm, at a desired location along the static arm dictated by a pre-chosen static arm cross section profile formed as lower cut-outs in a pair of gusset plates mounted at each end of the saddle between a pair of rigid flanks extending down the sides of the saddle. The lower cut-outs snuggly fit onto and over the static arm at the desired locations on the static arm to resist a rotation of the saddle relative to the static arm when a lineman is standing on one of a pair of foot decks mounted at the lower ends of the rigid flanks, wherein the rigid flanks define a static arm receiving cavity to envelope the static arm when the static arm platform is mounted on the static arm.

  • Patent number: 12287231
Abstract: There is provided a method of measuring liquid volume in a sealed container of a breast pump of known volume comprising liquid and gas. The method includes a measurement phase, measuring the volume of gas in the container by changing a first parameter of the gas by a known amount. The method also includes measuring a change in a second parameter of the gas; calculating the volume of gas in the container using the measured change and a predetermined operation equation; and determining the volume of liquid in the container based on the calculation.

  • Publication number: 20250130979
Abstract: One or more aerial images of a construct (e.g., a utility construct, a utility asset, a power pole, a telephone pole, etc.) may be used to determine a location of the construct. The images may be used to identify adverse conditions affecting the construct such as wood rot, arc damage, flashing, tracking, floating conductors, loose tie-wires, loose hardware, and/or the like. The images may be used to prioritize actions to address the adverse conditions and identify and/or verify the location of the construct.

  • Publication number: 20250122798
Abstract: An acoustic telemetry unit comprising an acoustic receiver for receiving acoustic telemetry signals is disclosed. The acoustic telemetry unit comprises a filter for filtering signals received by the acoustic receiver, a processor for processing signals passed by the filter to recover a data signal, the processor being operable in a sleep mode, and means for waking the processor from the sleep mode in dependence on an output of the filter. An energy storage module may be charged using signals received by the acoustic receiver which are not passed by the filter. The disclosed techniques may help to conserve battery power.

  • Patent number: 12256970
Abstract: An embodiment in accordance with the present invention provides a handheld cryoprobe for use in percutaneous cryotherapy of tumorous masses. It includes a probe attached to a CO2 gas dispensing backend. The probe has specifically optimized parameters designed for use with CO2 gas and is made out of a partially hollowed and threaded aluminum rod providing maximum heat exchange. The system backend regulates flow of compressed CO2 gas while throttling and cooling the gas coolant to the cytotoxically low temperatures necessary for targeted tumor cell death. Additionally, the incoming initial stream of CO2 gas is throttled by the Joule-Thomson nozzle on the backend. The low temperature exhaust gas is then used to pre-cool all subsequent incoming gas, resulting in an even lower temperature at the probe tip, which provides a positive feedback loop, continually decreasing the gas's temperature. The temperature drop is caused by the Joule-Thomson effect.

  • Patent number: 12240340
Abstract: Techniques control a utility vehicle. Such techniques involve storing electric power in a lithium battery of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve operating a motor controller of the utility vehicle in a normal mode in which the motor controller provides electric power from a lithium battery of the utility vehicle to an electric motor of the utility vehicle to turn one or more ground engaging members of the utility vehicle. Such techniques further involve, after operating the motor controller in the normal operating mode, operating the motor controller in a walkaway mode in which the motor controller configures the electric motor to provide braking torque.

  • Patent number: 12241971
Abstract: Systems and methods relating to air traffic control and navigational aids for aircraft. An antenna system uses a multi-sector sensor that uses two vertical column antenna arrays per sector. Each pair of vertical column antenna arrays produces two beams that are off a boresight for each pair of antenna arrays. Wide angle monopulse processing is used to determine an azimuth or angle of arrival for an aircraft using at least one pair of the vertical column antenna arrays. Predetermined correction factors are applied to the azimuth for specific elevation values and, for elevation values without predetermined correction factors, interpolation between known predetermined correction values to arrive at the corrector factor to be applied.

  • Patent number: 12235980
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for processing group images for distribution are described. Images corresponding to a group may be and sometimes are modified differently prior to being supplied to members of the group than when being supplied to entities which are not members of the group to which the image corresponds. Images of group members maybe and sometimes are replaced. Group members can provide an image to be used in the replacement process so that multiple group images which include a similar user determined image of the individual. This can make it appear that the same individual is present in multiple different group images while still not providing visual details of the actual individual in the group images.

  • Patent number: 12211333
Abstract: A protected covering for displays used in outdoor environments is provided. Particularly, the protective covering may be provided over a display screen of a delivery locker system. The protective covering may protect the display screen from overheating from sun rays and other heat sources that may exist in an external environment. The protective covering may be configured to be moved between a first position in which the protective covering is covering the display screen and a second position in which the protective covering is not covering the display screen. This allows the protective covering to protect the display screen when not in use but also allow a user to move the protective covering to access the display screen when needed. The protective covering may also include magnets to secure the protective covering to the delivery locker system in the first position or the second position.

  • Patent number: 12199988
Abstract: Some methods enable a first device to assist a second device in becoming authenticated with a content management system. The content management system can receive user credentials or an elevated access token from the first device. The content management system can respond to the first device with an access token for use by the second device. Alternatively, the content management system can send the access token directly to the second device. The second device can then use the access token for authenticated communications with the content management system.

  • Patent number: 12092445
Abstract: An implosion shield of ballistic fabric adapted to mount so as to surround an implosion sleeve or dead-end on a power line. The implosion shield may be wrapped or formed as an envelope or tent including one piece and folded around the implosion sleeve or dead-end and secured with fasteners. A method of installing the implosion cover may include installing an implosion sleeve or dead-end on a power line, and then installing the implosion shield around the implosion sleeve or dead-end, by wrapping the implosion shield around the implosion sleeve or dead-end, or by securing an envelope implosion shield over the implosion sleeve or dead-end, or by draping the shield over the implosion sleeve or dead-end, or by mounting the shield on a frame over the implosion sleeve or dead-end, then detonating the implosion sleeve or dead-end. The implosion shield attenuates shock, pressure and sound waves from the detonation.

  • Patent number: 12043373
Abstract: A landing gear for an aircraft includes a landing strut having proximal and distal ends with the proximal end couplable to the fuselage of the aircraft. The landing strut includes a gas chamber, a liquid chamber, a cylinder and a piston that is movable relative to the cylinder between extended and retracted positions. A wheel is coupled to the distal end of the landing strut. A force sensor is disposed between an extend stop surface of the piston and the chamber. Pressurized gas in the gas chamber biases the piston to the extended position such that the force sensor experiences a preload force. The force sensor is configured to detect a reduction in the preload force during a landing maneuver responsive to contact between the wheel and a landing surface.
