    Abstract: A spare wheel assembly including a frame having opposed ends. A wheel hub is secured to one end of the frame. A pair of mounting brackets, configured for attachment to the leaf springs of a trailer, is pivotally secured to the frame. One of the mounting brackets is secured to the end of the frame not bearing the wheel hub and the other one of the mounting brackets is secured to the frame between the wheel hub and the other one of the mounting brackets. A wheel is secured to the wheel hub.
