Patent number: 10642387Abstract: A touchscreen display including a touchscreen panel with a set of spaced-apart electrically-conductive transmit lines and a set of spaced-apart electrically-conductive receive lines extending in orthogonal directions. A set of class-D transmit drivers generate transmit signals applied to the transmit lines based on a driving pulse-width-modulated (PWM) signals, respectively. The PWM signals control the amplitude, phase, and slew rate of the pulses of the transmit signals, respectively. The parameters of the pulses are controlled so that the transmit signals arrive with substantially the same amplitude, phase, and slew rate at each receiver regardless of which transmit driver generated the transmit signal. This allows a single anti-phase signal at each receiver to substantially cancel out the receive signal during no panel load.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2018Date of Patent: May 5, 2020Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Sameer Wadhwa, James Hendrie McIntyre, Raghunatha Reddy Sripuram, Kezhen Liu

Patent number: 9828759Abstract: There is an inlet baffle assembly for use in an in-line interceptor for separating FOG from wastewater and a method of cleaning the inlet baffle assembly without the need for removal from the interceptor. The inlet baffle assembly has an inlet baffle for the grease collecting chamber of an in-line interceptor which defines a flow channel through which influent enters the collecting chambers and has a moveable section moveable between open and closed positions. The inlet baffle assembly also has a flow control element to control the rate of flow of influent entering the flow channel when the moveable section is in the closed position. The flow control element is accessible for cleaning when the moveable section is in the open position. After cleaning, the moveable section is moved into the closed position to facilitate fluid flowing through the inlet baffle assembly into the grease collecting chamber.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2014Date of Patent: November 28, 2017Assignee: Canplas Industries Ltd.Inventors: Andrew Bird, Timothy James Hendrie Poupore, Steve Armstrong, Michael F. Publication number: 20120293329Abstract: The present invention is an alarm system that includes at least one base unit operable to detect sound levels and to transmit a signal to cause an alarm response, such as emission of media that may be the sound of one or more dog barks. The media may be emitted through one or more applicable broadcasting device, such as through a speaker, and may be the sound of one or more dog barks. The broadcasting device and base units may be configured to function collectively to create a realistic deterrent effect. Other alarm responses may be part of the system, such as electronic device warning messages, turning on a light, etc. The alarm responses and the general operation of the system may be set by a user, either through the base unit or by other remote input means (e.g., a fob unit or other electronic device).Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2011Publication date: November 22, 2012Inventors: James Vernon CUNNINGHAM, Mircea Dan PAUL, Timothy James Hendrie POUPORE, Stacey Charleen GAY, Leo RALPH

Patent number: 6570576Abstract: An image processing apparatus processes input signal samples representative of at least part of a color video image to produce legal color signal samples. An over sampled version of the input signal samples is produced. A plurality of adjustment factors are generated which, when combined with the input signal samples, have the effect of converting illegal color pixels of the color image into legal color pixels. The over sampled legalized color signal samples are decimated, resulting in a sampling rate corresponding to that of the base input signal samples, by selecting signal samples from the over sampled version of the legalized color signal samples which have not changed with respect to the corresponding input signal samples.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2000Date of Patent: May 27, 2003Assignee: Sony United Kingdom LimitedInventors: James Hendrie McIntyre, Ian McLean
