Abstract: Technologies directed to a radio frequency (RF) boundary choke between modules in phased array antennas. An antenna module may include a circuit board having one or more conducting layers and one or more electrically insulating layers. The antenna module may include an antenna disposed on a first surface of the circuit board. The antenna module may further include radio frequency front end (RFFE) circuitry disposed on a second surface of the circuit board. The antenna module further includes a first set of vias extending between the antenna and the RFFE circuitry and a second set of vias disposed within the circuit board. Each of the second set of vias is positioned along a first axis parallel to and a first distance from a first edge of the antenna module.

Abstract: Technologies directed to a slot antenna as a calibration antenna for a phased array antenna are described. A communication system includes an antenna array with a first antenna module with a plurality of antenna elements and a conductive wall structure isolating each of the plurality of antenna elements. The conductive wall structure includes a portion separating a first antenna element and a second antenna element of the plurality of antenna elements. The portion includes a slot antenna.

Abstract: Technologies directed to arranging antenna elements in a triangular pattern on an antenna module of a phased array antenna are described. The phased array antenna includes a support structure and a first antenna module coupled to the support structure. The first antenna module element has a rectangular shape and includes a first set of antenna elements arranged as a first row and a second row within the rectangular shape. An antenna element of the first row and two antenna elements of the second row form a triangular pattern. Two adjacent antenna elements of the first set of antenna elements are separated by a first distance. Each antenna element of the first set of antenna elements has a first size that is less than half of the first distance.

Abstract: Technologies directed to a slot antenna as a calibration antenna for a phased array antenna are described. The antenna structure includes a ground plane, a first antenna element, and a second antenna element. The first antenna element and the second antenna element are located in a first plane that is separated from the ground plane by a first distance. The second antenna element is separated from the first antenna element by a second distance. Conductive material is located in the first plane the first antenna element and the second antenna element. A portion of the conductive material adjacent to the first antenna element includes a slot antenna. A radio frequency feed point is located at the slot antenna. The conductive material electrically isolates the first antenna element and the second antenna element and radiates electromagnetic energy as a slot antenna.

Abstract: Technologies directed to a directional calibration antenna for calibration of an array antenna of a communication system are described. The communication system includes the array antenna which includes a number of antenna elements. The number of antenna elements are located in an area on a first side of a support structure. A directional antenna is located at a first height above a plane of the array antenna and at a periphery of the area. The directional antenna is pointed towards the array antenna and is located within a near field of the array antenna.

Abstract: A remote car starter shielding apparatus consisting of a hard, durable, quadrangular convexly shaped shielding component with a hole in it near the top edge thereof through which a key-ring, also affixable to a remote car starter unit, is inserted and with a first piece of hook and fastener material affixed near the bottom edge of the shielding component along with a second piece of hook and fastener material removably affixed to the first piece of hook and fastener material and affixable to the backside of the car starter unit.

Abstract: A method for assisting a person in viewing results of a database query uses query parameters to obtain query results from a database. A user interface displays a table having a selector column. The selector column includes a plurality of rows, with each row representing a set of values for a parameter selectable by a user from a set of selectable parameters. The table also has a selector row that includes a plurality of columns. Each column represents a set of values for a parameter selectable by a user from a set of selectable parameters. Parameters relate to data of the database, and some are computed or derived from database fields. A parameter may be a measure of a degree to which a travel itinerary satisfies a company or managed travel bias. The table further includes selector cells, with each cell corresponding to a row and column. A user can select subsets of query results for display in an answer table by selecting a column, row, or cell of the selection table.
